The Stardust Girl

As a child, Zini never imagined anything great for herself. As a matter of fact, she felt she was doomed to never achieve anything. Some would think being royalty meant that anything she wanted could become a reality. Here's the thing... Zini was born into a society that looked down upon those without superpowers. Those that did have them easily made all their dreams come true. Fame and fortune was theirs. Her race was known as the Anomaly. This race, long extinct since the end of PowerLand's ancient era, was known for being the most arrogant and ruthless of all on the planet. For Zini, misfortune came to her at the Age of Discovery, when most Anomaly youths developed one or more powers. She, unfortunately, didn't have any. Yet what she didn't know that one day that would soon change. With the powers she gained later in life, Zini would use them to help those oppressed by her parents' evil regime and end the war against their once allies, the Nexus and their supporters. To achieve her maximum potential, Zini must not only conquer the evil that plagues her world but also the one within—a turbulent past she feels is inescapable.

To love a Normie

Some days passed before Glen finally came out of his coma, and when he did, the first person that came to his mind was Mackie. Zini was there while he thought about the new queen of the Nexus,. Zini saw that as an opportunity to let loose on him verbally.

"Mackie is married to her people, Glen! Don't you get it? She's not planning on marrying anyone else, and that surely doesn't exclude you!" Zini stressed.

"But I love her!" he emphatically said.

"But what about Zini, do you not know she love you so much?" Star took over. She had enough of Glen's ignorance and continued angrily. "Why can't you stop being blind and go for the right person, Glen?"

"Why would you interject?" Zini scolded Star.

"Like I said before. You're weak." Star answered in a condescending tone. "Furthermore, no one is willing to stop Glen for making a big fool of himself time and time again. You can't make someone like you."

"Yet you're trying to make him like me?" Zini countered.

"I'm doing it for you since you won't do it yourself. Not once did you try!" Star answered spitefully then let out an angry sigh after adding, "You such a shy muddafragger... it's aggravating!"

Star expected Zini to let Glen know that Mackie would never accept him for a long time, but Zini had seemed too timid to say it. So, Star decided that she would try and talk some sense into him.

This though didn't mean she liked Glen or thought highly of Glen.

"Both of you are made for each other but if it was left to me, he wouldn't be alive right now." Star continued. "Not because he's a Normie but because he's an annoying one."

"What you find annoying in him is what I find unique and lovable." Zini defended.

"Yet you fail to spare him from the embarrassment of getting rejected." Star retorted. "You have an edge over every girl in this city except your aunt, but you don't use it to your advantage. For that you don't deserve those powers you have!"

Glen was surprised to hear her Zini pronounce her love for him. He didn't expect that she would say anything like this because he had never noticed that she liked him in any way. Then again, he knew from Zeno that Zini wasn't the only one in that head of hers.

"That would be an invasion of privacy." Zini reminded as the argument with Star continued in her mind.

"What's invasion of privacy to a girl who isn't interested in marriage or romantic relationships for that matter?" Star's voice became highly agitated, listening to Zini's excuses. Zini didn't like to infringe on a person's privacy but what good was the power when she was afraid to use it out of going overboard? Then again, she wasn't one to use her telepathy maliciously. Star mistook Zini's perceived fear as a weakness. If Zini wasn't so scared of using her telepathy in an advantage way given the circumstances, she could've saved Glen from a lot more embarrassment.

"But I don't believe you, Zini. I still feel Mackie feels something for me. I'm sure of it!" Glen said, sounding a little bit foolish. Those words annoyed Star even more, and a fight between them both brewed again.

His words sounded silly and infuriating and his persistence only made him seem even more stupid that she thought.

"I like you Zini, but I don't like short-tempered women, and you are like that. You're a crazy, loose-cannon type of girl, and I am sorry I can't put up with someone like that... no offense." Glen said.

"You said I'm a what now?" Star got in his face. The look of rage on her face made him look away. She grabbed his face telekinetically and forced him to look her in the eye.

"Somebody save me from Ms. Crazy lady." was what he thought, full of dread.

At that moment, Star attacked him, launching him upward into the ceiling and throwing him across the room. She charged and took a swipe at him, but Glen avoided her attack by using his super-speed. She then proceeded to attack with punches, slaps, and kicks, all of which Glen avoided by dodging quickly or making himself intangible when he couldn't dodge quick enough.

"I hate you! I hate you!" Star cried as she continued to attack him until she realized her attacks had no effect on him, as usual. She suddenly came up with a new idea as her mind stirred in rage. The girl started to disorient him psychokinetically so that he couldn't concentrate on evading her attacks. She wanted Glen to feel every strike until she felt better, even if it meant knocking him out cold in the process. Star was deeply hurt by his words and she sought retribution for his actions.

It was after the disorientation that some of her attacks began to hit Glen. Unfortunately for her, after a few severe hits taken, Glen recovered from the momentary mental stun and caught right fist in his hand. He kept her at a distance until she charged an energy ball in her free hand. He grabbed her left hand as she went to smash him in the face with it. The energy ball dissipated as Star felt the pressure of his hand around her wrist. Super-speed wasn't the only power Celes let Glen keep. He was as strong as the average adult Anomaly male.

"Cool it, mate!" Glen shushed. Star could feel concern coming from him, but she didn't care. Mackie was her friend as much as Zini was and she didn't want some idiot hitting on her. She knew the interchange of emotions between them all too well and it drove her crazy. Mackie found Glen's seduction tactics annoying but no woman in the city would try and help him see that. For that reason, Star was angry at all of them, including Kita.

Star and Glen stayed there in the same position, unwavering as they stared into each other's eyes. Then Zini, under the influence of Star, made the first move to kiss Glen on the lips. Surprisingly for her, Glen reciprocated the move with his hands moving to being wrapped around her. They started making out.

Within the waves of passion both started in that moment thereafter, Glen started to have other feelings towards Zini as he began to realize the one for him was her. The feelings Zini had for him finally been reciprocated brought her extreme ecstasy. The passion they shared with each other that night was something she craved for a long time, and it was now satisfied.

"Did we have to be this aggressive?" Zini asked Star.

"Oh, just shut up and enjoy the win!" Star teased.
