The bulk of the day goes by quickly once Nick is at work. I’m alone in his apartment again. I thought about asking him to drop me off at the library on the way to work, because I could be more productive there, but it’s still not a good idea for me to be seen alone.
It’s almost worse now that I’m a wolf. A stray human would be in a lot of danger but would ultimately be a curiosity. A strange wolf, and Nick has assured me they’ll be able to tell by smell that I’m a wolf, would alarm them, and that wouldn’t end well for me.
After a few hours on my phone, I decide to experiment a bit more with shifting. Nick said I should only shift outside, but I can’t really go outside while he isn’t here, and I feel like practicing shifting is the most productive thing I can do with my time, so that’s what I do.
