The Spectator's Perspective

The sky was dyed crimson, and monsters wreaked havoc and killed everyone in their path. Winged beings like demons and angels descended from the skies and left debris from cities in their way. While watching this disaster, Ian Froda, on his way home from work, muttered in an almost inaudible tone. "Isn't this..a scene from my novel?" A novel he once wrote but never published. It became a reality before him, or maybe saying he wrote a novel about something happening might be correct. While he was in shock, a building fell on him, covering his vision in darkness. ____ After waking up from sleep, Ian looked at the date and time and was shocked beyond belief. "2018?!"...isn't it 2024?"... ... Not only did he write a novel about something that was happening, but he also somehow went back in time... ________________________________________________________ **THE ABOVE COVER ART DOES NOT BELONG TO ME. Shrine Of Sin

A few hours later, the trio landed in Copenhagen.

After several minutes of changing cars and using routes with no people, Ian found himself standing in front of an underground tunnel.

"Are you sure it's really only 'slightly' dangerous? "- Ian muttered softly.

There were a lot of shady and burly men with tattoos all over their bodies; Moreover, some of them were armed with guns.

' Wait... that's drugs, ' Thought Ian, while staring at the white packets in their hands.

Facing Ia's questioning gaze, Asher responded calmly.

"I don't know if you know this But, I will say it just in case. The reason we are in Copenhagen is that there is one of the main branches of the Occult Council situated here..."

"You know Occult council right?" Asked Asher.

Ian nodded.

How can he not know about it!?

One of the Sixteen major organizations and the oldest Organisation in the central realm- Occult Council!

In the central realm, the Human situation can be considered absolute.

This was because, unlike other realms where there would usually be many races born in the same realm, the Central realm only has one race- Humans.

Of course, there are some other races in the central realm like Specters, Ghouls, Nightmare Feeders, etc. Which all come together as Illusory Creatures.

However, faced with humanity's strength which reigns absolutely in the Central realm; only common people consider them as horrors., for Mind practitioners, they are… mere resources.

This situation changed in the 14 century when Outer realm beings bewitched some humans to become their tools and work for them.

These humans all formed multiple organizations in the world.

These Organisations are all collectively known as "14 Plagues" by Humans living in those periods.

To resist the tyranny and horrors committed by these 14 plagues, Secrecy Families and local kings of that time made a collective alliance among themselves - giving birth to two more Organisations;

These Organisations were called [Occult Council] and [Kings Table].

Later, as the Era of Kings ended, it changed its internal structure and gave birth to another superpower [World Association], an organization that controls all parts of the world.

They are also the ones responsible - for hiding this stuff from mortals, and protecting them from supernatural stuff.

Anyway, all of these 16 organizations are collectively called Sixteen Major Organisations or 16 Greats.

"What does this got to do with Occult Council? " Asked Ian in confusion.

If he wasn't wrong, then all the Occult council branches are underground cities.

And their underground city entrances were located in basements of some skyscrapers, not underground tunnels.

Asher sighed when he heard that.

"The internal conflict between the secrecy families of the Occult Council is too much. If I used the main entrance, then I would definitely have assassins sent after me... This is a side entrance which is occupied by some local gangs"

Seeing the Conflicted Ian, Asher continued.

"don't worry, I already informed them about using this entrance and even gave them some change for doing so."

Ian's tensions eased up a bit.

"So, what's the reason for us coming here?" Asked Ian.

Asher thought for a moment about whether to disclose it or not and finally decided to tell Ian.

"The Branch leader of [Shrine of Sin] was caught alive. They will hang him to death today... I wanted to come here to see it. " Said, Asher.

Ian could see the anger in Asher's eyes.

However, a branch leader of [Shrine of Sin] is definitely a big deal.

[Shrine of Sin] is one of the 16 Greats. It's under the Abyssal Realm and can be considered as the house of thousands of the vilest Men and women whose atrocities are beyond measure.

[Shrine of Sin] is founded by a once famous Secrecy family called- the Solomon family; In the late 16th century.

I said that they found a way to quickly increase Mindpower without using any outside treasures- fulfilling desires.

When a desire is fulfilled, it would increase the Mindpower by a tiny bit. This phenomenon was first discovered by the Head of the family of that time- Fenriz Solomon.

However, there would always be a limit to the number of desires a human can have... So, he made a pact with the demons.

He used the power of demons to have limitless desires- which are all obviously evil.

Later he became the 'Mass Killer of the Middle East ' and 'Tyrant of Red seas', famous for his genocides and brutal crimes.

Using his strength and influence, he made [Shrine of Sin], which became an affiliation to all kinds of sinners and criminals of the world.

Ian could understand why Asher would be so angry. Being a member of [Shrine of Sin] means they have done unpardonable crimes.

Moreover, this dude is a Branch leader to boot.

His Crime list must be unimaginably long.

Seeing the silent Ian, Asher chuckled and said - "Stop thinking so much, let's enter that underground city"

Ian woke up from his thoughts and nodded his head.

However, there are deep traces of confusion hidden in his eyes.

' Isn't the one going to get hanged supposed to be only a High-ranking member of the shrine of sin?! "

Why did it change from a High-ranking member to a Branch leader?!

There are two ranks in between the two...

A high-ranking member only controls the City branches, but the Branch Leader rules over the entire continent's [Shrine of Sin] Branches and members.

The disparity between the two is visible to the naked eye.

' Something is wrong... well let's think about this later '

Ian shook his head and continued to observe his surroundings carefully.

His |True Vision| is really useful for scouting purposes.

Hmm...I can feel my mindpower being consumed for every second I write...wait it isn't mindpower!

It's my energy!!!
