Blood Moon Rising

Chapter 3: Blood Moon Rising

Lyra crept through the forest, her senses on high alert. She had been tracking the hunter for hours, her determination fueled by rage. The moon was full overhead, casting an eerie glow over the trees. Lyra's heart raced with anticipation - she knew that she was getting close.

Suddenly, a figure emerged from the shadows. Tall and imposing, with eyes that seemed to bore into her soul. Lyra's hand instinctively went to the hilt of her sword, her mind racing with possibilities.

"Arcturus," Lyra spat, her voice low and deadly.

Arcturus smiled, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Lyra. I've been waiting for you."

With a fierce cry, Lyra charged forward, her sword flashing in the moonlight. Arcturus drew his own blade, the two weapons clashing in a flurry of steel and sparks. The battle raged on, the two combatants exchanging blows that would have killed a lesser warrior. But Lyra and Arcturus were no ordinary fighters - they were skilled in the art of blood slaying.

As the fight intensified, the forest around them began to change. The trees grew twisted and gnarled, their branches reaching out like skeletal fingers. The moon turned blood red, casting an eerie glow over the battle. Lyra's senses were heightened, her vision blurring as she struck and parried with deadly precision.

Arcturus was a formidable opponent, his sword slicing through the air with deadly force. But Lyra was fueled by her rage and determination, her strength and speed increasing with every blow. She could feel the power of the blood moon coursing through her veins, her senses exploding with a feral intensity.

Finally, with a mighty blow, Lyra struck Arcturus down. He fell to the ground, his sword slipping from his grasp. Lyra stood over him, her chest heaving with exhaustion. Her sword was raised for the killing blow, her eyes blazing with a fierce light.

"It's over," she spat, her voice dripping with venom.

But Arcturus just smiled, his eyes glinting with a fierce light. "Not yet, Lyra," he whispered. "The battle has only just begun."

And with that, he transformed into a monstrous creature, his body contorting in ways that seemed impossible. Lyra's eyes widened in shock as Arcturus rose to his feet, his eyes blazing with a feral intensity.

The battle was far from over. In fact, it was only just beginning.

I am really putting in a lot of effort to write this book and I am really serious about it. It is a pain to view without liking, as an amateur author your like are great encouragement and inspiration to me. Thanks for viewing. Love you and till the next episode.
