Arvid's words rang in their minds since the moment they set foot out of Dharvey's house. Arlo still sat on Dharvey's floor, Dharvey now kneeling beside him to check up on him.

Before Dharvey could even reach out to him, he brushed her hand away from him, Dharvey feeling hurt that she was being rejected.
"I'm sorry. It's just that you're hurt and—"
"I deserved it. This would never have had happened anyway if I did not go here."
Dharvey's lips turned into a tight line. Her heart was throbbing, wanting to help Arlo's bleeding nose and at the same time, comfort him.
