The Sorcerer.

Everyone knows him, but they don't know who he is. Everyone fears him and everyone admires him, he can be your neighbor or your best friend, most likely he is your lawyer or your gravedigger. But one thing is for sure. His power cannot be underestimated. This story doesn't belong to me. It's a translation.

Chapter 02

In front of Ariel were 2 old people with surprised faces when he told them that he did not intend to attend their school. Their stunned faces were such that for a moment he thought they were exaggerating but they weren't.

- "As I told you" - Commented Ariel.

- "But why?" - The vice principal asked in disbelief as if this had never happened in her life.

- "I have no interest in studying at your study center, I have more important things than dealing with a bunch of stupid kids and killing time with useless subjects that won't help me in the future."

McGonagall was about to speak but was interrupted.

- "I admit that magic itself has its charms and it certainly makes me curious but I am not willing to risk the next 7 years wasting my time and putting my life in a place that I suppose will be full of dangers."

- "Hogwarts is the safest place in wizarding Britain." - Albus interrupted Ariel's words.

- "Seriously? Tell me, the last dark lord had not come from that same place?"

It was at that moment that both guests realized that this 11-year-old boy knows something.

Ariel only said that to see their faces of disbelief and it was worth it.

- "How?" - Was Albus's question.

- "The how? It is very easy when you have contacts."

It was at that moment that McGonagall remembered.

Flashback

- "I already told you Trixsy, it's a wonderful place. You should visit me in the summer holidays, you will love the sports festivals."

The deputy headmistress walked through the long corridors of the castle as she went about her daily routine of order inspection. In one of those, she eavesdrops on a conversation between 2 6th-year girls from her house.

- "But I don't know if I should" - Trixsy hesitation was due to the information she already had beforehand.

- "Why do you hesitate so much? I already told you it's an amazing place. It's like here but much better, in fact, if it wasn't for the fact that they told me that I could travel and see fantastic things thanks to magic I would never have set foot in this castle."

To Trixsy this was a confusing statement. She, as a pureblood, although she was not part of the 28 families, wanted like any magical child to attend Howards and that feeling was much greater for Muggle-borns when they discovered magic and there was an institution willing to teach them for free but for Professor McGonagall this was a creepy statement.

- "But why Elisa!!! Hogwarts is the best magical institution in Europe and even in the world." - But when Trissy tried to continue her monologue she was stopped by fingers on her lips.

- "I can believe that it is the best in Europe since the academies of France and Hungary focus more on giving children a more selective learning according to the criteria of pure blood but Hogwarts does not. The subjects focus on a much greater variety but the teachers are not qualified in addition to the fact that they still lack more practical subjects for a wizard."

- "But..." - Trixsy tried to reply since she was angry when they told her that her dream school is subtly behind, which she noticed in her friend's words.

- "Tell me. Because every year defense against the dark arts professors resign even before finishing the cycle and I must say that it is one of the best-paid subjects."

- "That is due to a legend that the class is cursed."

Elisa heaved an exhausted sigh. - "Trixsy. You have to start learning to see the big picture if you want to live in this shitty society. Defense professors are not able to correctly apply and impart their skills and knowledge to the students due to the absurd restrictions of the ministry and if somehow those chair warmers found out what happens during the classes believe me when I tell you there will be a sudden change in staff."

McGonagall was surprised by the brilliant answer that one of their students had given and it was undeniable that her answer was wrong since she had experienced such events on a couple of occasions.

During the summer of '74, a promising defense professor had suddenly perished when he was staying at the Leaky Cauldron and something similar had happened 5 years ago. She had thought it was a coincidence but now that they had given her an answer to this, everything fell into place.

- "Also, although transfiguration is a fascinating class without a doubt, I must say that the exams are a bit boring and confusing at worst."

Minerva had to accept the criticism of her best student since she had taught the same thing for almost 20 years and she already seemed boring to her.

- "Nobody cares for divination. It is one of the most boring classes only surpassed by the history teacher bins. If the latter focused on something other than the war of the goblins and was applied in a different way instead of the monotonous and repetitive course, believe me when I tell you that it would be a very fun class."

Trixsy had to admit that every point in itself was true even when she tried to talk about modern Muggle society she was silenced by her friend's anger. She spends the next 15 minutes learning about Muggles from the entire learning class of all her years.

- "I can not believe the last 70 years of human history lost as a fantasy story. How misinformed are they?" - The regret in Elisa's voice was noticeable.

- "Even I took the liberty of learning your culture which I must say is very similar to ours but in the fifteenth century in the worst case."

Both girls left leaving a perplexed and embarrassed woman.

End of flashback

Albus and Minerva left the office with Ariel.

The headmaster had somehow managed to convince the boy to go to Hogwarts but Ariel had made it very clear to him that as long as his integrity remained intact he would be fine. Although Albus thought it was Ariel getting into some trouble, he would be the one to intercede for him.

The fact is that he was not so wrong, the detail refers more to Ariel in things a little more annoying than the boys and girls of the castle as annoying adults and people with authority.

Once they separated Minerva spoke. - "Albus. Now we can have 'that' conversation."

The old Wizard nodded.

Seeing this place had made him seriously consider the current academic status of his college of magic and wizardry and much to his chagrin he had to make serious reforms.

- "You agree that there are some things that should be implemented, isn't it? I can take care of finding the right people while you take care of the paperwork."

Albus nodded. He couldn't be stingy with the school budget, he had to recover the prestige of his school before it was too late.

The year before he had visited Beauxbatons to speak with the director Maxime and on that occasion he had seen that the students were being trained in self-defense he knew that many of the best Aurors in the magical world were in France although the jewel they had was having to deal with 5 generations of dark wizards in Europe and the last one thanks to a baby the war that had been going on for 9 years was over.

But seeing an institution for homeless children go far beyond its duties to produce excellent citizens of the future as well as producing wizards currently studying at Hogwarts made him think of all the potential he was missing out on by his neglect.

Albus watched as the boy named Ariel got into a vehicle and left the facility. Soon theirs arrived that would leave them in a place that they indicated and left the place.

Once they reached the busy streets of London they heard an explosion startling everyone present.

Both the director and the teacher went into maximum guard and got out of the vehicle.

When they looked at the place of the explosion that was a few meters in front of them, to their horror they recognized the car where Ariel was transported and they thought the worst when they saw the burning body of the driver. But they didn't have time to think about when the shooting started in that same place.

Albus took Professor McGonagall who had become paralyzed with fear and left in search of a safe place.

He might be the best Wizard in the world but he can't defend himself without caring about the lives of the people around him.

Minerva instead tried to contain her fear as she was held by the headmaster. The last war caused her a lot of pain in her life, but the traumas she carries to this day were not caused by dark wizards but by the human cruelty she saw during the second world war.
