He was aware of Tristan's trump card. The blood-draining flower was an interesting plant specimen that fascinated him as well when he first saw it. Tristan sought him out for help when he had just entered the intermediate level.

"I know it sounds weird but during my elevation to the intermediate level, I absorbed this seed and entered a special 'contract' with it."
