chap 18 the shopping trip
"You got it son." The police says i nod and sign the proper paperwork then we walk out the door and store one bike away and ride to a towards the hotel in silence " Zach I'm surprised that you stayed clam." she says I shake my head "I'm not clam I don't have the proper gear to attack plus there was to many people in the place." I say as we drive past the hotel towards the parkway and down a trail headed down the mountain. " Where we going?" silena asks "There is a waterfall not far we have some daylight left we can still send a iris-message." I say and speeds up as we race down the mountain as we come to the waterfall i stop the bike and we run up to the fall to find a rainbow in the mist silena digs out a gold drachma and tosses it in the mist saying "Oh Iris, goddess of the Rainbow, please accept my offering and show me chirion at camp halfblood."
A image of chirion appears " Oh dear silena we were just warping up Luke's report sadly he failed is zak there?" he asks as I step tminto view " Yes sir and there is no need to help my name anymore but I am having a hard time believing luke made it to California and back this quickly?" I answer as he nods as luke steps in with half his face covered " Thanks you your underground i found a guy to fly me it costed me a few drachma but he got me there and back." I nod " Good main reason I asked to create it." Chirion smiles " And we thank you for that but where is trey?" I sigh " That is why we contacted you the hunt was completed with out a problem but he started a fight with a local and got shot in the face."
Chirions face fell as he nodded " I have asked the local police to... never mind we'll be heading back come morning." he nods and waves his hand in the image disconnecting the call " Come on silena we have to get some sleep." I walk back to the bike and she climbs on and buries her face in my back as I drive up to the hotel she climbs off and just walks up in the hotel while I turn and race back to the station, to find the same officer there. "What are you doing here son?" he asks and I just make something up and walk towards treys boby then storing hit in my ring and runs out the station and speeds to the hotel. After storing the bike i walk up to silena's room and knocks to which she answers " Sorry I'm such mess he was a good friend." I just hug her as she crys softly I just stroke her hair " We better get so sleep." I whisper she just nods.
the next morning
We are sitting eating breakfast with our bags at our feet" So how will we get back?" silena asks as I take a sip of coffee " I called Jackie is is on her way here she'll take us to Charlotte Douglas." she nods as and looks down " Say silena we still have time before she gets here lets go get you a outfit." I get up and throw my plate away as she looks up. " Come on slow poke." I say slinging my back on my chest and walk out as she runs to catch up as I pull the bike out and and we speed off to the nearby mall and where we bump into Jackie just getting out her car. " Oh what are you two doing here?" she asks as we climb off " Silena was feeling down so I brought her here." I say putting the key in my pocket and we walk inside " Silena have fu--" i start to say but she dashes right past me a up to a store. " Zach what happened to the guy that was with you?" Jackie asked as we follow silena in "Dead." I say bluntly sticking my hands in my pockets.
After a few minutes later
" Hey zach aren't you having fun?" silena asks i just nod " Hey Zach you only have the clothes from camp lets find you a out fit." she say as she drags me into another store while laughing. " I'm good silen-" she cuts me off with a glare that sends shivers down my spine " Ooo this shirt looks good." she places a black shirt but then shakes her head and puts it back in place of a royal blue tank top and nods and drags me to the jeans and hands me a pair of jeans and a black jacket " Go try those on." I nod and walk to the changing. ' Hey dad question for you does lady hera give a glare that makes you shut down?' I ask as I start changing after a few seconds I walk out the door and look at silena.
" Yea that looks good." I nod and change back and pay for everything and slip the jacket on as we carry all the bags to the car and bike as storing everything in my ring and the bike to. " Can we head back now?".
