Chapter 50: Pain Has No Antidote

Noah's Pov

I could not stop myself from getting worried, neither could I stop myself from feeling a sort of way.

"I fear something bad must have befallen the kids," the words of my mother came flooding into my mind.

I looked toward the entrance of the door and saw my mom in a freighted state.

"Why did you say that, Mom?," I stood up from the chair.

"Because, Benjamin's number is unreachable!" she panicked.

"Let me call Zaria," I told her, as I grabbed my phone from where it lay right in front of me

Zaria's mother had rushed in with tears clouded her eyes.

"What happened?” I rushed to her.

"I can reach Zaria," her words had me in a state of shock, my feet could no longer hold me.

In that moment, I feared the worst happened to them.

My phone rang which brought my attention to it.

It was Zaria calling. I stood erect and picked up the call.

"Hello, Noah," came the words of someone I knew so well, someone I would not have expected to call me through her phone.
