"You can use me, and I will use you equally, think of it as having a Beyonder as a sponsor, and I will think of you as a sponsor as well, now then, what is your reply, Mr. Association Head?"
Ophis announce as he extended Tristons hand out to finalize the deal. What he wanted was something simple, or that's what he believed it to be. Of course, he had no worries about using his status as a Beyonder to reap more benefits if could.
Meanwhile, Akeem began to think more about Ophis's request, and with all honesty it wasn't anything too hard, to be honest. He was sure that Ophis was going to ask for more.
But these terms were rather simple, to say the least, it wasn't anything too major at all. It was so little in fact that he grows suspicious of Ophis intentions.
So to ensure that this was all that Ophis wanted, he looked at him to clarify if this was all that he truly desire, in return for his best behavior and assistance when a serious problem arises.
"Just to make sure, is this all you want in return for your cooperation?"
"I could ask for more if that's what you want."
Akeem didn't want to test how deep the water that is Ophis goes, as testing his patience will cost him greatly.
So he simply agrees to the conditions that he originally wanted to make him cooperate with them, and to be honest having a Beyonder on their side was beneficial in more ways than one, so he shakes the hand of Triston and said with a smile.
"You got yourself a deal, good sir... Just give me 24 hours to prepare your diploma, membership card, and evaluation result of the highest order so you can explore and sell ruin from a 7-star ruin with ease... And for the discount thing, we can settle that as early as tonight."
Ophis nod his head satisfied with the results of the negotiation, all that was left now was to wait for tomorrow morning. And he would officially be classified as a 7-star Mercenary which signifies you are the best of the best in the business.
The only thing that would be left to do was to find a place to stay for the night where he can collect his thought, strategize, and prepare for his first hunt as soon as he has everything prepared for his first raid.
However, at that moment, Akeem grabs the attention of Ophis as he asked.
"By the way Mr. Ophis, do you by any chance have a place you stay for the time being?"
Ophis simply replied.
"Not at the moment, I don't even have any money, I was just going to roam about till tomorrow morning."
Akeem smile inwardly at this, with all honesty the deal was a good deal. So much so, one can say that Ophis practically sold his worth very cheaply. And this left a rather bitter taste in Akeem's mouth, so he went ahead and throw in a few extra things to help him out immensely. So he looked at Ophis, still maintaining a professional smile as he said.
"Here what, why don't I buy you a property and a house right here, right now, think of it as an extra gift for your cooperation, I can't have a fellow sponsor being homeless, and while we are at it, let's open up a bank account, and give you a few extra bucks to play with until you are ready to traverse the ruins to make your own money."
Ophis was inwardly shocked by this news, but who was he to refuse a tribute when offered up to him, so he jokingly asked.
"Can I take this as a tribute then?!"
"Yes, you can."
However, at that moment, something rather unexpected happens. As a notification screen appears before Ophis eyes.
[Conditions met, receive your first tribute]
[Notice. The skill "Forbidden Name: Max" Have being unlock under the Mountain Deity Skill tree]
[Forbidden Name: Is a skill that will allow you to teleport, to hear, to see, and also directly communicate to anyone that knows you and say your name out idly without you being aware, regardless of distance or location]
'Wait. Holy shit, that's kind of broken is it not, a power that allows one to spy on others simply because of calling out my name idly.'
'Hahaha... Being a mountain deity has many uses indeed, although I do want to start my religion as quickly as possible.'
And as if Pandors responded to Ophis's desire, it reacted by giving him a mission.
[A storyline mission has been triggered. Please be aware that due to the nature of the Mountain Deity job class, this mission can be ignored if the users so desire]
[Storyline Mission 1: The Place of Worship: Every god needs a place of worship, no matter how small it is, used Akeem's generous tribute to find yourself a mountain shrine with borderlands of T-City]
[Time Limit: 6 Hours]
[Reward 2: A Character Lore Sheet]
[Reward 2: 350 Lore Points]
When Ophis saw this he was shocked, thoroughly shocked at the rewards being offered to him, so much so, that he immediately questioned Thaumela.
'Oi Thaumela isn't the Lore sheet a narrative device that allows you to manipulate the plot to adjust the origin of the player character?'
[Yes it is, however, you have a class that can interfere with the plot of Pandora itself, although only to a limited degree, that's what being God entails, miracles]
[Although you are more like a Japanese household God when you think about it, regardless of that, a God is still a God, with this, you can create a character or a special NPC to do your bidding, think of it as an apostle of sorts]
'I see. Quite convenient indeed, well then, this will be useful to me, so I will take this mission.'
[Mission accepted, please clear in 5:57:33]
However, at the same time, Akeem grabs Ophis attention as he gestured for him to come closer to him.
"Oi Mr. Ophis come here for a minute."
Ophis of course, went towards Akeem, still holding Tristan by the neck as his consciousness control his body.
He then looked at Akeem, who then began to explain.
"Look here."
Akeem said as he pointed toward his holographic computer on his desk, showing a website name "Grand Estate"
It showed many houses like large villas, mansions, and even manors, hell even large mega scrapers were up for sale, and prices were insane.
Akeem then said to Ophis.
"Tell me Mr. Ophis, what kind of house tickles your fantasy, I'm not sure what your living standards are, but I'm sure we can find something that is acceptable enough for you to live in, and don't mind the price, the association has a lot of funds to point even a few billion dollars is child play to us."
'Few billion, do you have any idea how entitled you sound right now, damn I will never understand the rich... But oh well, I will soon understand anyways when I get rich as well, so why not take full advantage of his generous offers and buy the best possible shrine T-City has to offer?'
With that in mind, Ophis looked toward Akeem and said Via Triston.
"Do you have Mountain Shrine, or better yet a temple that isn't being inhabited by a God at this moment?"
"Haaaa!?"
Akeem said a little confused by Ophis odd request.
Ophis on the other hand began to explain his position of course he lied here and there not revealing too much.
"You see, in my world, the older we Dinotarian are, the more respected we become, in my case, I am revered as an elder God amongst my people, because I am one of the oldest Dinotarian to exist, and as such, I take on the role of Ophis, the God of Dreams and Desire, and keeper of balance an order. So I would prefer a sacred place to have as my dwelling."
Akeem opens his eyes widely in shock at the revelation. He knows Beyonder was strong, and their race, and position differ from each other. He has met royalty, heroes, and even dragon slayers in his lifetime. But this was the first time he met with an actual God, even his people believe that Gods were just myths.
"So you are telling me, you are a God?"
Ophis replied.
"Like I said before my people view me as such, because the older one is, the more respected they are, we take the human term "respect your elders" to a whole different level."
Akeem began to think seriously about the matter and realize this was more of a cultural difference kind of thing as he replied.
"I see, so it's more around the lines of you being older than the vast majority than you possessing actual Godhood. Your people must view you very highly then? If they go as far as to worship you as a God because of your age, what an interesting set of cultural beliefs."
"Pretty much human, as such, I would prefer something like a temple, preferably one in the mountain. I heard that T-City is the size of a continent so you should have mountains in the place you call the borderlands right?"
