Chapter 57. Determination

Mrs.Victoria takes out a gun from her pocket and she points the gun towards Lady Lyudmilla, because she has a suspicion towards her.

Mrs.Victoria aims her gun towards her and asks Lyudmilla,

"What do you want with Lord Nicolas?"

Lady Lyudmilla trembled in fear and bluntly replies, "Wha..What...are...you...do..ing?"

Mrs.Victoria replies, "Answer my question, Lady Lyudmilla or else i will leave a hole in your head."

Lady Lyudmilla then says,

"What i just told you is the truth, i just wanted his love."

Then, Mrs.Victoria comes closer and aims her gun right in front of her head.

Lady Lyudmilla feels very scared and she starts sweating.

But then, she braven herself.

She walks a little step and let the gun touched her forehead.

Mrs.Victoria prepares to pull the trigger of the gun.

Lyudmilla replies, "I truly loved him, if you won't let me to be by his side, i rather die and i willing to be shot by you. But if you let me live, i swear i will helped him with all my might for him to achieve the Tsar's throne. I won't be a hindrance and I'll be loyal to him."

Mrs.Victoria asks,

"How could you prove your loyalty?"

Lyudmilla replies,

"By killing my brother."

Mrs.Victoria says, "Your brother?"

Lyudmilla replies, "Yes, Lord Nicolas ordered me to killed him. From that, i will show my loyalty to him. I willing to sacrifice my only brother for him and so, i could earn his love!!"

Mrs.Victoria then look on her eyes for a moment.

As she look on her eyes, she notices that Lyudmilla is truly serious about this.

After that, she gives Lyudmilla her gun.

Lyudmilla surprised.

Mrs.Victoria then says, "Alright, i believe in you for now. Take this gun and used this gun to show your loyalty to Lord Nicolas, don't disappoint him. If you lie to me, i have no hesitation to kill you with my own hands."

Lyudmilla replies, "Alright, i agree."

Then, she takes the gun.

And Lyudmilla says, "I'll kill my brother with this gun and I won't give disappointment towards Nicolas."

Mrs.Victoria then nods.

Lyudmilla finally made a decision to kill her own brother, Lord Mikhail Gagarin to gain Lord Nicolas's trust and earn his love.

Meanwhile, Lord Mikhail Gagarin is still inside the ballroom with all the other nobles.

In the ballroom, Master Gregory is still been crowded by the nobles and Ivan rushes towards the crowd to protect Master Gregory.

And Lady Anastasia goes towards a little girl named Evelina Golinsyns, which is the youngest family member of the Golinsyns Russian noble family.

That little girl just witnessed her mother and her two older sisters died in front of her due to the poison of the wine.

The girl is truly shocked of what happened.

First, she lost her father and now in the same time and in the same day she just lost the rest of the family she had left in this world.

Lady Anastasia immediately goes towards her and asked her, "Are you alright?"

The girl doesn't speak a word and she still can't believe of what happened.

Young lord Edgar Herbert also come towards her.

And he says, "Lady Anastasia, are you alright?"

Lady Anastasia replies, "I'm fine, Lord Edgar, but this little girl isn't fine at all."

Then, Edgar looked at the girl and he feels pity of her.

Finally, Lord Nicolas with the detective, inspector and officers are right in front of the ballroom.
