"who told you he is going to reject you?" He asked in soft voice. "I...the princess told me." I stated and heard him taking a deep, long breath. "It is not what he is going to do, my child." He said and my eyes snapped up to him. "Rejecting you is not the solution. Your mere existence is enough to let the fates play and to bring you in the front of the King. The Offer

Princess's guard. Who the hell was she? "Who are you?" I voiced my question. The three looked at each other and then dragged me into a lonely corner.

"Do not shout alright? I am…," she looked around us. "The princess of Zyrenia." Oh. I stayed quiet and her expressions told me that she expected me to scream or react in some way.

I had never came across a royalty before, so, I didn't know how would they want me to behave. Should I bow? Father says never to bow before anyone except the goddesses but, I couldn't afford to raise suspicion on me. I stiffly bowed my head as if asking if I am doing it right. "No, no don't do that in the public eye." She said motioning me to stand up. "So what do you say?" She asked. What do I say?

"Pardon me, your…highness….but, don't you have about thousands of soldiers guarding the castle? Why would you want me to guard you?" I inquired.

"Yes," she huffed. "But they are not my soldiers they are my brother's. They only follow his commands, they won't let me do as I want. I want someone who would only to my orders. Please, I really need someone like you, please." She pouted.

Well, from what I had ever heard about the royals, they were supposed to be self centered people who just knew to order around their way. But this lady in front of me was begging. But will it be a good decision? I would be tied to my duty, following her around, but that could also make an opportunity for me to slip in and help grandpa out.

I let out a heavy breath and replied, "But when I think it is too much, I will resign." I tried to negotiate.

"Yes, yes. Of course, you can. I will never let you feel anything but happiness. We could roam in my mother's garden, in the town and ooh! The forest! And-" She started to rant but a hiss from her follower stopped her in the middle.

"The King, princess." She reminded her.

"Oh right. I will have to let him know first, so, let's go!" She cheered clapping once. "And by the way, this is Adelia, we call her adel, and this is Genis." She pointed to the two girls at her left and right.

"We are her maids. But she wouldn't tell you that." Adel said. She was a petite female with brown hair and light blue eyes. The other one, Genis, was much like her, except her gray eyes. They made me wonder if they were both twins.

"Yes, they are twins." The princess said reading my mind. "Because, I like it. You know? Twins." She smiled.

"Well, not to offend you but, you never told me your name, princess." I said.

"Oops. Sorry." She shrugged sheepishly. 'I am Ellyana."

The group of us four halted in front of the great castle of Zyrenia, the werewolf Kingdom. But we were in the back. The twins led the way and opened a small secret gate in the wall that I would never had imagined was there. We entered into a garden which consisted of almost every flower that bloomed in the kingdom.

The three started to run like they were on fire and dragged me along. They ran along the hallways quietly making a beeline for a staircase behind a grand one. "Why isn't the princess climbing that?" I pointed to the huge stairs.

"Because we don't want to get caught!" Genis whisper like yelled. We landed on the first floor and then on the second and then on the third. On the third floor, two guards ran into us. Princess Ellyana glared at them shaking her head. The two guards nodded frantically and stepped aside to make way for us. I thought it was the power of her title. Only a look and she got her way.

We scurried into a grand bedroom, all covered in purple lush furniture and walls. A canopy bed, huge balcony, jwellery trunks. The room was indeed for a princess. The twins ushered the princess to dress up and transformed her into person entirely someone else. Her beauty was as of a goddess.

Her red hair were left swaying in the wind, adorned with a tiara. Her body was fitted into a light blue gown, lips painted pink, scent tainted with roses. "Come on ladies, let's find my brother!" She commanded and put on a serious face. Gone was the bubbly female. Now, we were following behind the princess of the great kingdom of Zyrenia.

Princess Ellyana, Adelia, Genis and I navigated through the castle and passed the grand staircase, the front gate and the training grounds. The training grounds were just outside in the front of the building we just exited. Crossing the ground through the corridors by the sides, we came face to face with a closed door guarded by two soldiers at both sides.

"I wish to see the Alpha King. Open the door, please." Princess ordered in firm tone. They opened the door for us to the majestic throne room. Every eye turned to see the arrival of the unexpected. The ceilings were high as the sky and were adorned with designs and images of the kingdom's history with a gargantuan chandelier in the middle.

The vast walls were covered with ancient statues, paintings and tall windows which allowed the breeze to come through. Along with the wind came a particular scent which washed the dread over me. But I shouldn't have been worried, I was undercover. He couldn't find me.

I followed Princess Ellyana as she made her way near the throne at the far end, atop the raised steps. The more we moved ahead, the more the scent became strong. I didn't dare to look at any one's faces, instead I watched the carpet beneath my steps and tried to calm myself. We stopped at the bottom of the steps and the princess spoke.

"Brother, I need to speak with you. Can I have a little of your time?" She politely asked. There was a pause before her brother spoke.

"You may speak now, Princess." The way my wolf perked up and my heart skipped a beat at the voice, I knew who was in front of me. But, I still didn't dare to look up.

Goddess, what did I have dragged myself into? I didn't even think about him when I agreed with Princess and now, he was her brother. Wait, if he was her brother then he would be…the Alpha King?! My head snapped up at the realisation and I came face to face with my nightmare.

Settled on the massive throne, was my mate in all his royal glory. He was just the same as I had seen him last time, except this time he was covered in brown breeches, white shirt, red cloak and a gems imbedded crown on top of his dark head. In all my honesty, there couldn't be anyone in this world compared to his fineness.

His strong jaw, straight narrow nose and dark eyes were a sight of perfectness. And his dark gaze was settled on me. The uneasiness that engulfed me was causing me to regret everything I ever did in this town. Did he know? But how could he? Grandma's magic was strong enou-

"Who is this lady, Ellyana?"
