Chapter 7-The betas gathering.

Hearing her father praise her she decided to do it. It now or never.

She look into the king's pupil, maintaining contact with him."Father, I think we shouldd free him."

The Kings eyes twitched and he stare at her together with Delva-Shocked.

"What!?" She remember the king and Delva exclaimed together after recovering from their shock-state. they stare at her like she had gone crazy."What the fuck you're talkin' about?"Delva added.

She smile.

Recoiling the look on their faces put a small smile on her face as she dance victoriously for handling everything rightly and now the king would release him and bring him out of the lab. There would be no experiment on him at least for the next three months.

It is not enough time. She knew ,but it better than nothing at least that should be enough for him to recuperate fully. She hope he'd fight for his freedom atterwards.

She fought and had hope he would be kept in a proper place, all thanks to Delva's suggestion he would be placed in a museum instead.

That heartless sister of hers!

Thanks to her awesomely advice, their father would keep him there so people would pay money just to see him. Of course who wouldn't like to see a real half human , half wolf in a museum? Who wouldn't want to see a life werewolf?

Bonnie knew that even herself would pay to see that only if it isn't her wolfy.

Her wolfy really?

Convicing her father to get him out of the lab wasn't easy especially with Delva being there who keep opposing her every words.

But shes happy though. Whether he's placed in a museum, it better than nothing.

If not for anything. No tearing of his skin for the main time.

She's deep into her thought when she felt a tap. She turned.

"Greeting my princess." The maid bow.

"Hi Sally, How long have you been here?"

"Not to long princess. You look so lost in thought. Are you okay?"

"Oh yeah. I'm fine."

Sally her personal maid. She was ten when she was assigned to her while sally was twelve then. She remembered her crying when she was leaving the village and she's happy now to reunite with her.

To her, she's her bestfriend not just a maid. They bonded perfectly and she love her because she's honest and genuine not those maid who pretend a lot to gain the princess favour.

Sally was born by her mother's personal maid. Sally's mother was saved by her mother when the market women almost kill her. When She was accuse of stealing which was a great offense in her community.

She isn't sure if it's true or not but one thing she knew 'anyone caught in that act would be beating or stone to death.

For the sake for her mother saving her she pledged her royalty to her all her life.

Although her late mother treated them like family.

Sally and her mother are from the neighboring community. She was seven when her mother brought them to the palace while Sally wass ten but they fell in love with each other immediately their eyes laid on each other and sincee then their relationship has been blossoming and Being apart hadn't affect it either.

She paused suddenly when she realised she has past her room. Smiling embarrassingly , she turn and headed for her room.

The betas sat on the chair patiently waiting for their alpha to arrive.

The received the message sent by a wolf guard of the alpha's urgent meeting call.

They don't know what it about. But if the Alpha summon them suddenly it must be important and serious too.

Not long after their arrival, the Alpha king walked in with his wolves guards tagging along.

He headed for his chair. When he reached it , he sat down close his eyes briefly before opening it and staring at the faces of each of his betas.

"I am glad that you all hearkening to my call. As everyone knows, a toad they say does not run in the day in vain. Their must be something pursuing it."

"Exactly." They chorus.

"Alpha, What could be the reason for this emergency summon ?" Jonas,The head of the betas whose patient was running out asked. He's tired of being in the dark. He want to be let in . Not just him, others too, though they didn't say.

Beta Jonas is the oldest beta in the pack . He has lived for thousands of years but still active and strong.

He is stronger than most young wolves of the pack and his strength can't be measured by any.

As the oldest and most wisest, Having been in the world for long he knew quite much than the rest and so is respected by all and sundry, the alpha king inclusive.

The alpha wanting not to keep the old man waiting for long spoke."The alpha prince orb-ring glows."

"We don't understand, alpha." Another beta added looking at the other betas faces, they nodded in support of him."Please alpha can you make us understand? Right now um... You're talking a load of twaddle, do get your fact straight,alpha."

The alpha sighed."I think my son is alive." He begin.

The betas hearing that grimace, glance at each other,The felt sorry for their alpha king whose only son had gone missing for ten years now .

He might be missing him so much to wish him living but they knew it can't be since his orb-ring which theu saw with their naked eyes years back is in total darkness.

The orb which is connected to him interpret the state of his well been. If it's blinking, he's in danger, Dimmed? he's seriously ill and Darkness, he's gone, ceased to exist. His dead.

And the orb ring was dark the last time they saw it ,how can the alpha say it glowing now?

Having this thoughts in them there was befuddle as the betas look from one person to the other.

They knew for sure werewolf creatures don't wake up after dying.

The alpha after seeing the doubt in their eyes went further to convince them.

"I am telling you- Believe you me, he's alive. The princess can atune to it. She saw the orb glow and you all knows what that means."

They looked at each other in disbelief, agreeing among themselves that their alpha king has gone mental.

His no longer stable and his mental health might be in a turmoil state.

But there was only one person who didn't doubt or believe. He was non-committal towards the whole thing but yet in a deep thought.

And that person is no other than Hydro, a zeta werewolf.

Zeta wolves are the third rank of werewolves with super human senses, agility and intelligent.

They are strong, not as strong as betas but their super human speed is more than the betas and most times more than alphas speed too. They're very fast even in human form that they could move as a blur.

Highly intelligent. They understand things within a short period of time and very sensitive. They can detect danger easily and has a high genetical immunity against diseases though they can be down with cold most time or wolfbane poisoning.

But the poisoning can't kill them except weakening of their sensory organs.

And they are mostly the alpha Kings left hand men who takes charge when the alpha isn't around or communicate mentally with the whole pack using their strong mental link especially during emergency or war.

But in Hydro's case ,He isnt a guard rather was among the important personnel of the pack.

Though lower in rank but he's well respected by almost all the pack including the betas due to his super human intelligence.

All those while the betas argues among themselves,he was quiet deeply in thought.

When the betas realise that the Zeta hasn't say anything they turn to him. Seeing him deeply in thought, they stop their argument and payed heed to him.

After a little while, he sighed."I was trying to feel his state of mind,"

"Really? Did you?" The least if the betas asked

"Shut up, Monkey! He's still talking. Must you interrupt him."

"You have started now- alpha king warn him oo, he should beta mind his business."

"It your business you should mind. Why not keep your mouth shut."

"I don't remember talking to you, why attack me."

"You are seneless. You don't know when to talk or shut up." He responds.

"Haaa, are not the senseless one. You exchange your brain with you height, Iroko." He retorted.

"Do not call me Iroko ,again, Monkey. I won't tolerate that."

"Oh really? I'll tolerate you calling me monkey,huh?"

"Isn't that what you are. Look at your face, ugly creature. You should be rejoicing I call you that though monkey is prettier than you. Check face well , you're dragging beauty with a chimpanzee."

"Eeeh!" He stood up to attack him and he stood up as well

But Jonah stepped in before the could get to each other.

"Will you she-male shut up and shit down!" He ordered. "You!" He pointed at Park, the one Jettro refererd to as Iroko.

"Do not correct him again. If he does wrong I'll caution him myself."

He nodded and sat back down. Jettro followed shut.

After peace was restored , Hydro continued."Since I couldn't reach him- alpha king can I see the orb?."

"Of course." He nodded, gestured to a guard. He came and bowed.

He wispers some words only him could hear. The betas would've heard it too if they didn't shut out their hearing.

When the guard return, he was accompanied with Elnora. She held the portrait where the orb ring hung and was matching towards them.

They were astonished to see a bright light emitting from the ring, almost blinding their.

The alpha wasn't wrong afterall.

Jonas was the first to speak "Oh Alpha. This old man lacks word to express the things his eyes has behold. If any knows the mystery, please do unravel it."

"I'm tryna reach him but couldn't, maybe we should employ the service of another." Hydro suggested after many attempt to reach the wolf prince.

He might be dead or be in a dreadful situation and as such we can't figure out his condition.

"And who would that be, Hydro?"

"The horrid witch of the cave."

"What!"

All the betas hair stood at alert at the mention of the witch. Their face turn grim, dreadful and terrify as they stare at Hydro like a crone who suddenly grown out of a parent body.
