Chapter 14-Warming up to her

It's mid-afternoon,

Bonnie laid on the bed sleeping.

When Sally walked In, she saw her princess still asleep.

She was surprise.

What happen? Why is my princess sleeping up to now? Didn't she sleep at night or...oh my goodness! It can't be.

She rushed to the bed and run her hand on her checking her temperature to know if she's down with fever.

She was frightened initially thinking that her princess has fallen ill but after checking her body temperature and it's okay,- not hot not cold , she was relieved to know that she wasn't sleeping due to sickness, but... why is she yet to wake?

Maybe she's tired. Her mind chipped in.

But why would she be? she did not stay up all night, right?

She stood gazing at her princess with contemplation whether to wake her.

After so much inner battle she made up her mind to wake her but first, she needed to fix her bath.

She went into the bathroom and return to the room after sometime, she went to Bonnie and tap her.

"Princess." She called when she heard her murmured some inaudible words"it Sally." She added.

Bonnie stir, looking at her with red eyes probably due to too much sleep or needing more sleep."Oh Sally, it still early... Go back to sleep. " She groan finally.

Sally was astonished.

Really? Is she calling this mid-afternoon early. Doesn't she know she have slept too long. At 12.45 she's saying it early.

"It past 12. princess." Sally corrected.

Her eyes open quickly and glance at the clock,out seeing the time She so up quickly from the bed almost falling off if Sally wasn't quick to held her back.

12.45and I'm still sleeping?Oh Bonnie,how could you sleep this long? To you deserve some spanking. She murthered.

You really did... Wolfariane must be hungry-he haven't eating. Her conscience reminded.

She gasped.

Oh my God! That's true... should I take his food to him before bathing or after. She was battling, contemplating on what to do.

Sally seeing her in such state couldn't help it, she decides to bring her out of whatever she's battling, by relenting the king's message to her.

she said."Princess, please take a shower quickly, his highness want to see you."

She sighed, her face changing replacing by a small frown.

Why would father want to see me. Did Delva say something to him? Is that why he's calling me?

Sally was quick to apologise rushing out her words thinking she has offended her princess. Unknown to her , Bonnie was frowning for something else not for her.

"I am sorry, princess. I woke you, I never meant to... the king want to see you so I couldn't help but to..."

"It okay Sally."

Bonnie cut her off. She felt bad hearing her maid's apology, she shook her head.She thought I'm frowning on her.

" No Sally, you did the right thing. Thank you for waking me up...I'll go freshing up now and will meet the king afterward."

"Okay, my princess."

"You may leave."

"Thank you my princess. I will leave immediately I'm through with selecting a dress for you."

She nodded and started to move towards the bathroom. All the while ,the green eye man in the museum filled her mind and thought.

She stood in front of the king wishing he would dismiss her.

She have been in the throne room for more than thirty minutes and yet no word was spoken by her father who was discussing with Delva when she stepped in.

Delva kept telling something which she care not about while her father in turn was enjoying and laughing intervally.

Each time she tryna drag his attention Delva would increase her voice making it impossible for the king to hear her.

Unfortunately,she doesn't have a loud voice like hers, so it's to Delva's advantage and she's using it well.

Days like this , she do wish they're never related.

Glaring at Delva, She wanted to talk but she doesn't know what to say. What can she say,

Hey Delva, stop talking to father so he could talk to me.

That must be stop of her saying such.

She suck in a huge amount of air , trying vividly not to burst out yelling at her. She would have though, if her father isn't there.

"Oh Bonnie dear, your sister is such a funny one. She have been making me laugh since."

"Sure she is father." Note the sarcasm. "Definitely ,she would be a good comedian if she should pursue for it."

The king laugh he probably thought she was praising her not knowing she's mocking Delva.

Delva understood the metarphorical responds of her sister, she frown glaring at her.

She's trying to use here eyes to intimate Bonnie but she only roll her eyes.

She thought she's the same Bonnie that got scared by just her glaring or frowning at her.

'Oh my God! ' She suddenly exclaimed inwardly when she remembered that green eye wolf hasn't eaten.

She ought get it over with the king quickly.

"Um .. father, you sent for me, right?"

"Yes dear. I didn't see you during breakfast and lunch too. What happen ? "

"I was a bit down , I couldn't make it. But not to worry father,I sure won't miss dinner."

The king's face contracted as he stare at her with warmth and concern. " How do you feel now, should I get the doctor.?"

"No, father. I'm fine- a little more rest would do the rest."

"Okay dear. Do go in and rest."

"I sure will."

She stood up, her eyes ran into Delva who was glaring at her, she roll her eyes.

She recall that she have been rolling her eyes alot recently, all thanks to Delva.

As she walk out of the room, the bitter wolf fill her heart. She thought of so many way to help him. But if she's to do that , he needed to trust her first.

Before she could achieving anything the person she's to help need to open up and not just that trust and allow her close.

He haven't eaten. Her mind reminded.

Oh that's true . She agreed and hurried up her step.

She went into the palace kitchen in the name of needing food for herself. The maid offer it to her .

She made sure to get large quantity of food enough to feed three people.

When she arrived at the museum room where he was kept.

She greeted." Good day , Wolfariane."

Silent met her.

"I brought you food" she told him before pushing it through the space in the door.

She had expected him to look away or pretend not to want the meal but he shock her.

He walk to where she kept the food and carry it, not wasting time he began to munch it.

"You didn't come in the morning,why?"

"What?" Bonnie was taken aback. She didn't expect him to talk- talk more of asking her why she didn't show up.

"Answer it." He yelled.

Now Bonnie is confused. Why would he be angry all of a sudden, what did she do?

"I'm sorry. I kinda was down , I couldn't wake early." She picked her words careful not to offend him since she does not know what to do to irritates him.

She watched him calmed a bit , she thought everything is okay before...

"You force food on me and now couldn't provide it.!!" He yelled.

His outburst frightened Bonnie that she almost ran out of the place. She wasn't expecting it. But luckily she managed to held tightly to the silver iron door guilding the room.

She look at him. "I'm... I'm.."

She was stammering, she could not make out a single word due to fear. She was still trying to regulate her heart beat when she heard Her name.

She panicked-Her heart sinking into her belly. Finally, they caught her. Why?

Why now Wolfariane is beginning to talk to her?

She slowly turn and met the king standing behind her .

"Father." She called with tears." I can explain."
