Chapter 24

*My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard, and they are like, It's better than yours. Damn right it's better...*

The assigned ringtone for Samuel stirred me awake to an empty bed. I got the idea to use Milkshake by Kellis as his ring back tone after I breastfed Sam before him and made him uncomfortable.

Genius right?

"Good morning, sleepyhead. I do not have time to talk long. I wanted to let you know I left early for work. My driver will take you home when you are ready. You will find his contact on the nightstand. Text me when you get home. Kiss Sam for me."

"Have a nice day at work. Also, thank you for having us."

"The pleasure is definitely mine."

I opened the note on the nightstand and read with a satisfied grin.

-Good Morning, Debs, I hope you also had a peaceful night. It was the most fulfilling I have had in a long time, so I am grateful for your magic touch. My apologies for leaving before you woke up, but I have an important meeting to attend. Please take your time and have my chauffeur/butler Philip take you home whenever you are ready, which I am hoping is never. Attached is his card.

Samuel. A. H.

I could not contain my smile because my exploits with a man at night did not end when I woke up. It was not just a dream.

The man has beautiful handwriting, but we cannot overstay our welcome. Time to go.

We got home, and my baby took her morning nap, so I get on chores immediately because the anxiousness of going to his place did not let me do them the previous day.

I hissed as the intercom buzzed. I was tired of Mrs Edna coming over to introduce more wedding services. I looked at the screen and saw a blond guy in a suit standing at my gate.

"I am not in a mood to witness any Jehovah right now, so buzz off!"

"Are you Kenya's youngest sibling, Deborah?"

"I do not know who the fuck Deborah or Kenya is. You have the wrong house."

He scrolled through his phone and shook his head.

"It says this is the right house, ma'am. You are her emergency contact."

"Emergency contact? Did something happen to Kenya? Who the fuck is you?"

He flashed an FBI identity card.

"Let me see the ID again."

He held it close to the camera, and I went through it thoroughly to be sure. I let him in and met him on the front porch. He sat on my rocking chair without permission, and he was rocking back and forth with his legs crossed as if he was the landlord. Something about him made me uneasy. Maybe it was the way he was looking at me as if I was a bag of dirt. He raised his nose high with intimidation, with his shifty and narrow green eyes piercing through me like that of a villain. Something about him oozed evil.

"How may I help you?" I asked him, but he gave me a once over and smirked.

"Take a seat. We have a lot to talk about."

"Mr Baker, you said something about an emergency with Kenya, so what is this about?"

He extended his hands towards me for a handshake. "I am Christopher Harrison." He gave me a few seconds to piece two and two together.

Does Samuel have an evil brother? What the hell does he want from me.

"And yes. You are going to be of tremendous help to me." He chuckled mischievously and leaned back in the chair.
