TSCJTTM CH13 Hanami's Death

Rudra turned his sensing ability to maximum and targeted the remaining four lower grade curses. Before he could take care of any of them, his senses caught the death of one of those curses. It turned out that one of those had come in the path of one of the members of team Kyoto.

Annoyed that he would not be able to get a perfect score, Rudra increased his speed even further. After some effort, he was able to catch two of the lower grade curses that had been constantly running and hiding to evade his pursuit.

In the meantime, the competition had got heated up and he could sense many different battles and impressive abilities being cast all over the competition area. Two of the most recognizable ones were the cursed energy fluctuations caused by Nobara's Straw Doll Cursed Technique Extension: Hairpin and Ultimate Mechamaru's energy blast type ability.

When he turned his attention towards the final lower grade, he was annoyed to find that while he had been focusing on the fights of other participants, it had been killed by Mai through a long distance snipe attack.

'Someday I am going to punch that annoying girl in the face. To hell with being polite to girls.' Rudra thought as he turned his attention away.

Since he had already taken care of two of those remaining four of the lower grade curses along with the four curses he killed before, their score should now be six out of eight. Having secured their victory, Rudra decided to turn his attention towards the semi-grade 1 cursed spirit to finish the match.

However, much to his annoyance, the aura of the semi-grade 1 cursed spirit was being suppressed for now by some kind of technique. Its aura was most probably only possible to be sensed at close range due to some trick pulled by that old goat of Kyoto Jujutsu High.

'Hmm, if I remember correctly, Inumaki was the one to first encounter the Semi-Grade 1 Cursed Spirit, and the Special Grade Cursed Spirit Hanami almost immediately after that when Hanami killed the Semi-Grade 1 Cursed Spirit.' Rudra thought.

He spread his senses far and wide and quickly caught the aura of Inumaki and one of the Shikigami's cast by Megumi. Rudra immediately started rushing in that direction while keeping his senses on Inumaki's surroundings.

As he got closer to Inumaki, he suddenly managed to find the faintest sense of the semi-grade 1 cursed spirit, along with another aura that made him feel some danger.

'Bingo!!' Rudra thought as he boosted his steps with cursed energy and increased his speed even further. Just as Inumaki himself senses the Semi-Grade 1 Cursed Spirit for the first time, Rudra arrived and cast his technique.

'Cursed Technique: Demonic Mouth Manifestation!!' Rudra thought as a huge Demonic Mouth was sent towards the cursed spirit. It swallowed the spirit in one gulp and swiftly digested it. To Rudra's surprise, he gained a new Cursed Technique after a very long time.

[Cursed Technique : Curse Attraction]

[The power to pull/attract curses towards the user. By using a small amount of cursed energy as a catalyst, the user can generate an aura that will pull/attract curses towards themselves. Depending on the strength difference between user and the curses, the curses can also become submissive to the user and take initiative to sign a slave pact.]

If it was someone other than Rudra then they would be jumping with joy on gaining such a versatile ability. However, Rudra was disappointed instead as he had no interest in keeping any Cursed Spirits as his subordinates.

"Sujiko!!" Inumaki came up to Rudra and said while nodding sagely. Before Rudra could respond, both he and Inumaki turned towards a certain direction as they sensed something indescribable. If Rudra had to describe it anyway, he would say that it was like feeling all of nature' aura itself condense into a single figure that was coming towards them.

"Be alert, Inumaki-senpai," Rudra said with narrowed eyes, "This is something new."

"Konbu!" Inumaki replied while pulling down the zipper of the tall collar covering his mouth.

Soon after that, a tall humanoid figure emerged from a cluster of trees. The humanoid figure was a large tan cursed spirit with black lines running across his entire body. That cursed spirit had a helmet like head that doesn't cover his teeth, branches for where the eyes are supposed to be, and two black lines that zig-zagged down his face.

The cursed spirit wore black baggy pants that was held up with a white sash, and a white cloth that covers his left arm and shoulder. The covered arm and shoulder bulged suspiciously, indicating that something was hidden underneath it.

'Hanami…' Rudra recognized the the cursed spirit immediately, "Inumaki-senpai, Run!! I will be the one fighting this Cursed Spirit and I will have to go all out. You have to leave!!"

Saying as much, Rudra immediately rushed towards Hanami.

'Cursed Technique Demonic Mouth Manifestation Maximum: Demonic Hydra!!!' Rudra chanted mentally as his cursed energy exploded outwards. Hanami and Inumaki both sensed a terrible danger from this cursed energy and they retreated a bit.

Within moments, the cursed energy manifested in the form of a translucent 3-Headed Hydra like construct that formed around the Rudra, encasing the Rudra in the body of a Hydra formed completely by Cursed Energy.

The Hydra was connected to Rudra's mind and Rudra could control the Hydra according to his will effortlessly. He even had his physical ability amplified by multiple times in this form.

"Now the fight begins!!" the three headed hydra shouted with an amplified yet slightly distorted voice of Rudra and rushed towards Hanami. Hanami looked at the huge powerful looking threat with surprise and sent large amount of gigantic flexible looking branches towards the hydra in an attempt to crush it.

Before the branches could even get close, the central head of the Hydra reared up and sent a huge gout of Cursed Demonic Flame Breath. The blackish-grey flame spread on the branches in an instant, burning them to ashes before Hanami could react.

Hanami quickly jumped backwards to avoid the flame and sent even more branches in an attempt to swarm Rudra's Hydra. However, it was completely useless, more branches, more flames.

In the end, Hanami had to employ other measures. Wrapping and entwining the branches into multiple enormous wooden golems, Hanami sent them towards Rudra's Hydra. From within the Hydra, Rudra looked at the rushing golems with a frown on his face.

'Hanami has Cursed Energy to waste, but I don't. Hydra is unmatched in power, but at the same time it takes just as much to cast and maintain it. I barely have over 3/5ths of my cursed energy reserves left after summoning Hydra and using the Cursed Demonic Flame Breath ability of the central head repeatedly.'

'I need to end this soon.' Rudra thought as Hydra slithered in the direction of the charging golem. Instead of using the Cursed Demonic Flame Breath again, Hydra slammed its tail at the charging golems, sending them flying like baseball. The golems all fell around Hanami, struggling to stand up again after being crushed half to rubble from Hydra's powerful tail strikes.

Before Hanami could try anything else, Rudra activates the power of Left and Right heads of the Hydra simultaneously. The two heads gathered a large amount of cursed energy and transformed it into Cursed Corrosive Spray and Cursed Poison Gas respectively.

The deadly mixture of the two covered Hanami and the Golems within seconds. Cursed Corrosive Spray immediately melted the Golems into mush while Hanami tremendously powerful defense was also affected. Cursed Poison Gas then invaded Hanami and weakened him.

Hanami screamed in agony as it felt its entire body being invade by the strong cursed poison. Rudra saw that Hanami was incapacitated, and decided this to be the perfect opportunity to give the final blow.

Dispelling Hydra, Rudra rushed towards Hanami while taking out huge harpoons made out of cursed metal. They were special metal alloys used to make weapons that can be better imbued with cursed energy and techniques.

"Cursed Technique Extension: Demonic Mouth Infusion!!" Rudra chanted while holding the harpoons. Multiple small Demonic Mouths emerged from Rudra's body and went inside the harpoons, one Demonic Mouth for each harpoon.

Immediately after the Harpoons were infused with the Demonic Mouths, they changed their color too deep black from steely grey and a sinister aura emerged around them. Rudra then summon Demonic Sealing Chains that automatically attached themselves to the harpoons.

"Go!!" Rudra said while pointing at Hanami. The chains with harpoons attached to them like stingers circled Hanami before piercing him from all directions. Hanami let out another shriek as he felt his Cursed Energy, and even his unique essence as a Special Grade Cursed Spirit, being absorbed by those harpoons.

Worst of all was the fact that Hanami realized he could not move his body or even his cursed energy after being pierced by those harpoons. He could only watch helplessly as he was slowly 'eaten' alive.

Because of his current situation, he could not even activate his innate technique or any of its derived techniques. Even its left arm, that should have been always connected to the nature around him, was somehow sealed at this moment.

Rudra stood some distance away with an original Demonic Mouth activated behind him, waiting for the moment Hanami would be at his weakest and without any tricks. When Rudra senses the moment had arrived, he first suppressed Hanami's remaining power with Curse Manipulation to give himself double surety.

Once that was done, he sent Demonic Mouth to devour Hanami, the chains, and the harpoons. Until the final moment, Hanami was kept completely suppressed and he died with all his grievances unvoiced.
