Graham plans to woo Jean

Bruce felt ready to challenge whoever was back in the woods, staring at them. He felt the hair at the back of his neck raising from his anger.

"I bet it's Jean's friends again," he muttered as he stared at the spot where he saw the one wolf.

"But, how would they know that we had planned to come here? I highly doubt it. We were in a totally secluded place. There were no other models around," Graham responded, shaking his head as he stared at the ground in contemplation.

"Don't you want to change into your wolf form and go question them? They might tell you what they're doing here. Maybe they're just on an outing," Bruce suggested.

"Yes, I could, but isn't it better to just have our meeting now, since that's what we came for and we can't afford to waste time because there's lots to do before Saturday," Graham responded.

"You're right. This is a distraction and we do need to plan well. Also, you need to rehearse everything that you're going to do and say to Jean. You need to know her as well as I do before chatting her up on Saturday," Bruce agreed as he reluctantly removed his focus from the wolves in the distance.

"I've got an idea. Why don't I start with a friend of hers and make Jean jealous?" Graham asked as he glanced back at the clearing where the wolves were.

"It could work, but then you have to make it convincing. Pretend that you've really not noticed Jean. I don't know how experienced you are with that sort of thing," Bruce remarked as he also searched for the wolves who were observing them earlier.

"Those wolves seem to have lost interest in us," Graham commented in a bored tone of voice.

"Yes, I'm quite experienced in drawing a lady to me by pretending to be interested in her friend," he continued as he followed Bruce's gaze.

"I just hope that they're not watching us from another area of the woods," Bruce remarked as he tried to scan the rest of the woods with his keen vision.

"It's their problem if they find us entertaining," Graham remarked with a nonchalant shrug.

"Alright, it's good if you're already successful with pretending," Bruce responded to Graham's previous statement.

"So, when will you ask Jean out?" he asked further.

"I think that I should first befriend a friend of hers and show interest in where she hangs out. Then, when Jean shows interest, I will just pretend be happy to hang out with both her and her friend.

I will go on until she can't stand the suspense anymore," Graham responded. He kicked at the ground in front of him as he got his plan together.

"So, you're not gonna ask Jean out officially?" Bruce asked with a curious frown.

"No, I will simply draw her in until we end up showing interest in attending the same events as friends, initially. This way, she won't ever suspect me of targeting her for devious purposes," Graham responded.

"Wow! You have an interesting way of dating. So, she won't even be aware of the fact that she's dating. She will think that the two of you are simply drawn to each other naturally," Bruce commented with a pleased grin on his face.

"It will be easy to convince her then that we could be one another's actual mates in life," Graham responded.

"Oh, be careful that you don't fall in love with her for real," Bruce remarked as he stroked his fine whiskers pensively.

"But I will make sure that we end up at amazing events every time that we do go somewhere," Graham remarked, raising his eyebrows for emphasis.

"Yes, do that, but don't be too extravagant," Bruce cautioned. "I will sponsor you, of course," he added.

"Of course, we don't want to give her too good a time. Just now her ego becomes completely gigantic," Graham remarked in response. His eyes were round as he tried to express his horror at the prospect of Jean's audacity becoming even worse.

"I hope she doesn't do research and find out that your parents are separated and don't own the company jointly," Bruce remarked with a slight frown on his brow.

"I will just flash all signs of prosperity, like different sports cars, etcetera," Graham responded. "Even if she does her research, she won't go into deeper details if I lure her into thinking that she's found a successful model and wealthy heir who is truly interested in her," he explained. He spoke with a look of serious intent on his face.

"Don't let her find out that your mother is about as aggressive as her," Bruce remarked. His eyes lit up as he recalled this part of Graham's family life.

"I will have to work very hard at that, because as soon as my mother finds out that I'm consistently dating one girl, she will begin to pry into Jean's background," Graham remarked with a deep frown between his shapely, dark brows. His blonde hair contrasted with his eyebrows in an interesting and alluring way. Girls just loved his look. Jean should be no different in his opinion.

"So, that means that you will have to see Jean on a discreet basis, especially while you're trying to get her hooked onto you," Bruce remarked with a serious look in his eyes as he looked at Graham.

"Will she like to be hidden away?" Graham asked. "Will her self-esteem and pride be able to stand that?" he asked again. He shook his head in disagreement.

"That's usually enough to bring out her crazy side," Bruce mumbled as he stared at the ground, deep in thought.

"As long as she doesn't become dangerous with her kind of ego," Graham remarked as he stared at Bruce with a worried look in his light grey eyes.

"Well, she does sometimes get a bit crazy, especially when she's jealous," Bruce responded as he began to scan the woods for those wolves again.

"She shouldn't become a threat to anyone's life, hey?" Graham remarked, still with concern in his eyes.

"Just make her believe that the secrecy is for her own safety, so that nobody interferes in your relationship. She's vain enough to believe you," Bruce advised.

"Well, I think that's enough of planning for today before anyone finds out that we're both not around at the same time," Graham remarked.

"Why don't you stay over at the model mansion for the rest of the day? We need to plan your wardrobe for Saturday," Bruce suggested as the idea hit him.

"Oh, yes. Saturday is very important because Jean needs to see me at my best then," Graham responded as he scratched his head contemplatively.

"Maybe you guys will also meet the new singer that I met, if you're there in the afternoon," Bruce remarked with a far-off look in his eyes.

"A new singer? Will she be at your house?" Graham asked frowning curiously.

"Yes, she might do a joint project with us one day as a musician," Bruce responded with a smile which lit up his eyes.

"So, is she also going to the ball?" Graham asked with an excited look in his eyes as he observed Bruce's change in expression from worry to plain joy.

"I'm not sure how they do things around here. I don't know if ordinary humans also attend these events," Bruce responded with a slight frown as he studied the ground.

"Oh, then she's not a wolf?" Graham asked with a confused look in his eyes as he studied Bruce's facial expression.

"I'm really not sure. She's just an amazing singer. You should hear her singing in the woods," Bruce responded with his brows raised high in amazement.

"Oh, so you've heard her sing in the woods? Then maybe she is a wolf," Graham remarked with a pensive look in his eyes.

"There's a magical quality to her voice. It almost sounds unreal," Bruce remarked as he began to walk away from the bridge.

"Do you mean that you've not come across that kind of voice before? I struggle to believe that," Graham commented because he knew that Bruce had been all around the world.

"No, I don't think I have. I would have remembered if I had," Bruce responded, looking at the ground pensively.

"Then there's a possibility that she's a siren; someone who can performs wonders and miracles through her voice. Have you thought about that?" Graham asked with a grin which lit up his eyes in excitement.

"What are you saying?" Bruce asked, raising his brows in surprise.

"I believe there are such people amongst us, just as we're wolves. Maybe you've met a siren. That would be awesome!" Graham exclaimed with an even brighter glint in his eyes as he smiled. He punched his palm with a fist in excitement.

"It sounds far-fetched to me, even though I do say that her voice is like something out of this world," Bruce responded, rubbing his chin in contemplation.

"I think I'm gonna take you up on staying over. We have to discuss this lady at length. She could do wonders for your company if she sings at your shows with that voice," Graham remarked as he began to walk away from the stream with Bruce.

"Are you gonna leave your car on the other side of the woods?" Bruce asked.

"Oh, I can catch a lift with someone and go fetch it later," Graham responded with a bright grin on his face.

"He's as excited as a little boy now," Bruce told himself on the inside.

"You and my cousin seem to have the same wild dreams about me making a success out of using this singer for my shows," he remarked with a sideways glance at Graham as they began to walk back towards the mansion.

"If she's a siren then she can do wonders for many people. Why not a business?" Graham responded as he strutted next to Bruce with his hands stuck in his pockets.

"Well, in that case, remember that I met her first," Bruce responded with a challenging grin at Graham.

"Now, what are the possibilities of her being a wolf as well?" Graham asked as he began to rub his chin, lost in thought while he walked.
