The first thing that we can notice as our eyes wander over the hospital room is the eerie sense of quiet. Only a small lamp, residing on top of the bedside table, provided light for the room, which had a soft glow over the patient's bed in the darkness. The man, who was in is twenties, appeared frail and pale, as if a strong breeze could easily carry him away. Except for the heart monitor' regular beeping and the occasional shuffle of the nursing staff's feet, the room was quiet.

The atmosphere in the room was heavy with the sense of fatigue, the weight of the illness palpable in the air. The patient seemed barely conscious, his breathing shallow and labored. Despite the medical equipment, there was a sense of vulnerability and helplessness that permeated the room.

Watching the patient's chest painfully raise and fall, one couldn't help but wonder what had brought him to this point, and if he could one day recover from it.

Before being hospitalized. The man, without a degree, was constantly doing part-time job to pay for his heart disease. While knowing that his condition was only going to get worse, he had no choice. The jobs he was doing were mostly undeclared, it was the only way to get the most of his money. Employers who hire manpower to work undeclared aren't known for giving fair schedule, they take advantage of these poor workers.

Working overtime and tirelessly has not helped his condition. In addition to his heart disease, he now suffers from severe exhaustion.

One morning, he woke up before the roosters had a chance to crow and headed to the kitchen to prepare a meal. However, as soon as he stepped into the room, he collapsed on the ground, gripping his chest.

If it weren't for his roommate calling an ambulance, he would have died right then and there. He had a low chance of recovering, so he had to stay in his hospital room.

A few weeks had passed, he had nothing to do but laying in bed and watching anime and some manga.

He really enjoyed those fantastical worlds.

The TV had been turned off as the day comes to an end. He felt sleepy, an odd sense of sleepyness.

...

Slowly closing my eyes I said: "I wish I could travel to those world one day.."

« Confirmed. Creating a skill that allows mutiversal travel. Error. Attempting alternative. Success. Unique Skill [World Hopping] has been acquired. » (Only for tensura worlds)

I thought that I heard a familiar voice but shrugged it off.

"Or simply traveling in my world would have been fine ahah *sob* what a life *sob*"

« Confirmed. Extra skill [Spatial Motion] has been acquired. Additionally, Unique Skill [World Hopping] and and Extra Skill [Spatial Motion] are attempting to combine ...

Ulimate Skill [Traveller God Khonsu] has been acquired. »

Again, this voice, are the walls so thin that I hear people speaking from the next room, just sleep already. Aaah, why am I alone in this room and sickly stuck in this bed, can't I have what other have ?

« Confirmed. Unique Skill [Envious] has been acquired. »

Who accused me of being envious ? Well, maybe a tiny teensy bit. If only these terrible bosses didn't drain all my energy and blood, I wouldn't be in this state. I should have been the one doing that, sigh not that I could have done so.

« Confirmed. Choosing the appropriate race from catalogue: Vampire. Its Intrinsic Skills have been acquired.»

Wait a damn minute, no fucking way! It can't be the Voice of the World ?! Why did I realise only now, I should have wished to be a true dragon! Huh, a vampire ? Not that bad, they take damages from the sun, lame. No no no! I love the sun and I'm sure the sun loves me too.

« Confirmed. Establishing sunlight resistance. Success. »

Hahaha, nice it's so easy. Now give me [Magicule Breeder Reactor] please.

*Silence*

*Rolling bush*

Aaah, of course it couln't be that easy. Sigh at least I tried. What now ? Oh, I know what could be usefull, same as Rimuru.

Raising his fist in the air, he shouts dramatically:

"Ô cruel world it's freezing and so hot..."

« Confirmed. Establishing cold and heat resistance. Success. Additionnaly, cold and heat restitance has evolved into thermal fluctuation resistance. »

Thinking about Rimuru, he was really lucky to have Ciel, previously Raphael, previously Great Sage, to support him.

I'm going to need someone like that, someone that has a jugdment worth of Great Sage or even better. A tsundere or yandere *ahem*, no not yandere like Raphael.

« Confirmed. Unique Skill [The shrewd One] has been acquired. »

Shrewd ? Sounds like lewd, a bit goofy if you ask me but thank you very much VoW. Well now, what else could there be. I started pondering until I realized something..

"If I hear the Voice of the World, does it mean that I'm dy-"

And sure enough,

I died.

I think the way that I introduced the skills was pretty decent, right ?

For your information the name Khonsu, from his Ultimate Skill, is an Egyptian God and his name literally means "traveler". It was a bit hard to find a mythologie figure that 'specialize' in travel. I think it sounds good, maybe you have a better figure in mind but now that I chose this one I won't change it in the future, sorry.

I will go more in depth about his skills in the next chapter.
