Two fools sneaking out to play

The sun was shining softly the chirping of birds was like a song under the dazzling sun rays all the forest looked vibrant filled with colours a group of small fluffy rabbits hopped around the soft dew kissed grass chewing in happiness unaware of someone hiding in the bushes nearby.

One rabbits ear twitched standing on alert as a very soft sound of rustling of dry leaf getting stepped on came from the bushes nearby when the rabbit looked up nothing seemed out of the ordinary hence returning back to chew on the fresh docile grass.

"Astro! Where are you!?"

This startled the group of bunnies munching on the grass they all scattered in an instant as another sound came from near the bushes some of the rabbits were running off to "fuck! Stop yelling!" A graceful figure leaped up in the air grabbing one of the nearby bunny the figure landed on the ground in an elegant fall.

The long shoulder length golden hair tied in a pony tail shining dazzlingly enough to blind any onlooker eyes as blue as ocean capable of charming even a deity the narrow slim waist wrapped up by the tight green clothes which can even lure a demon to their doom it was as if a fallen deity has descended from heaven.A charming smile graced those beautiful pink lips which looked as soft as silk.

"Astro! I been searching for you for ages now! Why are you avoiding me!?"

Said an elf with red hair and emerald green eyes he was Astrid's best friend Indis Enel he belonged to the Enel family famous for having one of the few ancestor elf who had contributed in making of this tribe the great elf tribe hidden between this vast jungle.

Astrid rolled his eyes ignoring the red hair elf focusing his all attention on the little brownish bunny struggling in his hand he held it up by his/her long fluffy ears curiously examining it's soft fur. Indis who was treated like air sighed walking up to Astrid.

Indis "you..I know I promised to take you out in the human market for your birthday but..but..but it's your mother! Aunty said if I take you even an inch out of the boundary of tribe she will never cook for me!"

Astrid scoffed at the pitiful act of the elf not giving out any response. Having been given cold shoulder twice indis got frustrated "ok fine! I will take you out for just few hours no more no less!" Astrid's eyes lit up one could almost see a fireworks in them those bright eyes made indis sigh in hopelessness.

He really didn't want to give in to Astrid but considering they were almost like brothers and family he agreed to be honest he was the older child and had two small sister what he lacked was a small brother and that little brother was Astrid. Astrid's mother always treated him with love almost the same as her own son.

In their tribe Astrid and him were pretty famous not only because of his background but because both had amazing Archery hence being skilled in hunting they would often be involved with the hunting group not only that Astrid was skilled in using healing spell and he himself could use daggers pretty well.

Astrid always wanted to explore the world beyond he was always curious about human's even when merchant humans were in a large numbers came to their tribe he would often stick with them asking all kinds of silly questions like a newborn child the humans merchant would often giggle at this charming elf's childishness but would satisfy his curiosity nothing less.

On every birthday he would only ask one gift to roam the human tribe once but his mother would refuse it each time although they would often go outside the tribe to see the grave of his father he wanted to see where his mother lived so few days before his 17th birthday he asked his bestfriend friend aka only brother in such sweet tone that the poor little indis couldn't refuse.

To make sure indis does not refute he even went as far as calling him older brother in a coquette tone hitting on the spot , Astrid knew how this person has a brother complex so he took full advantage of it poor Indis didn't even realise but even if he did he simply wouldn't be able to stand a chance against those doe eyes filled with tears.

Astrid "So when are we going!?"

If Astrid had a tail it would be wagging so hard it almost appeared as if he was going to see his future partner instead of a place with the level of excitement oozing from his face. Having realised that he once again fell victim to this mischevious evil fairy's emotional manipulation Indis pinched his cheeks until they were red in punishment making Astrid grimace in pain.

Astrid "ouch! Brother! Stop !stop!I am sorry ok! Stop! Ahah!" His tone changed to a coquette attacking the onlookers with his cuteness.

Indis "huh! You change colour faster than a lizard! "

Indis grabbed the poor rabbit hanging by the ear setting it free"hey! I caught it! I wanted to keep it as a companion!"

Indis "No. You can't have something you caught as a companion they have to choose you remember?"

Astrid pouted his lips grumbling under his breath"whatever...by the way you didn't say the time when will you take me to human tribe?"

Indis "On your birthday offcourse."

Indis finally couldn't hold back bursting into hysterical laughter "ptfff...hehehe look! Look at your face! It's as if you swallowed fly!"

Astrid humped in anger tackled indis to ground engaging in a battle "oi!oi!oi! Stop! I am not joking i will ask permission from aunty myself ok! "

On every birthday Astrid and his mother would visit his father's grave and would spend the whole day there so Astrid thought that this green eyed demon was bluffing but he stopped when he heard that indis is going to ask permission personally but if her mother never said yes to him it's nearly impossible that she would say yes to indis so sat cross legged on ground frustrated.

Indis who was tickled until he was crying lay on the ground plopping his one arm to side he looked at Astrid "few elf soldiers are going into the human tribe that day to talk to the first beast lord with the commander so we can say we are going with the warriors to bring back some supplies from human tribe and I am pretty sure this labour cannot be completed without us the young and hardworking elf's don't you think?" This plan was way better than sneaking.

If they sneak and get caught he can't guarantee his mother's reaction but if his mother knew it all beforehand not even that he didn't had a choice not did his moyas elf take their work seriously than he will also have the permission without getting hurt by his mother's legendary weapon the shoe.

A beautiful grin appeared on his face showing off his neat small delicate white cannies. "Your good at scheming you know?" Indis shrugged "After all i learnt it from you master" and just like that mission sneak out of work to have fun and fool the mother begun. Maya who was unaware of all this was knitting a beautiful mufflar for Astrid as his birthday gift.

Astrid felt giddy with excitement he couldn't wait to see where his mother was from all the humans he has met so far a kind and sweet and all the fun stories he have heard he couldn't wait to try the things outer world has to offer after a day of goofing around with indis after two days his birthday finally arrived.

Astrid was fast asleep when a gentle kiss fell on his cheeks a farely inocent smile graced those soft pink lips unconsciously but Fully aware who it was half asleep he moved his body to one side "mother just few more minutes please ~" his mother chukuled completely aware that his few minutes means few more hours or god knows even days her little lazy rascal.

She would let him sleep a little longer on any other day but today is special he is going to an adult so even when her heart was a bit reculant she gently shook him "happy birthday little spawn do want to see your gift or not?" The word birthday and gift worked like a magic spell as Astrid quickly sat upright with bright eyes his hairs were messy coupled with that bright tooth smile that it looked funny his mother stifled a laugh.

"Gift? Where?! Where?!"

"First go get yourself cleaned and I would bring you something to eat then you can have your gift ok?"

Astrid nodded his head quickly getting all freshed up as his mother brought him something to eat after that he opened his gift as expected his mother had given him what he asked for his eyes sparkled putting on the blue muffler knitted with beutiful gold flowers.

Although elf don't need things like this since they can withstand cold but he really wanted a cute muffler because he saw a little human girl wearing one who came to their place with her merchant parents it's was snow white with little cute bears knitted on it since then he also wanted one so he asked his mother as expected his mother made one for him.

Now it was time for their trip to visit his father when they stepped out of their tree house unexpectedly indis was standing there waiting for them when he saw Astrid he jumped on him hugging him tight "happy birthday! May you looks get fixed this year so hopefully you can find a girlfriend!"even going as far as ruffling his hairs making Astrid push him away as he grumbled in angre.

"If anyone needs to fix their looks it would be you shit head ok since childhood girls and boys have clinged to me like vine on tree!"

Just like this it landed a bit on Astrid's head bullseye! "Ouch! Mama! Why did you hit me!?" Miss Maya glared at her little charmer. She knew her son takes after his father little self centred bastard at times it's as if she is looking at him although the looks was indeed something to be admired but she never liked this ego and making of supirior talking.

Back then it was the very reason they started fighting because he called her ugly she beat the shit out of him making him fall in love with her stubborn and headstrong nature a typical enemies to lover story but in the end she cured the self centred bastard and now it was her son's time.

She pinched his long ears making him cry out in pain the long beutiful pointy ear are one of the sensitive spots although she loved to touch her husband's ear with facination but he would always tremble and beg her to stop since then she realised that this was one hella sensitive spot of elf's so she made sure to take full advantage as to how she did it we don't need to know it ahem.

As expected Astrid's tone went down as he cried out in pain "ahh! Mother o my sweet mother! Ouch! Please stop! I won't speak nonsense again please!" His ears were finally granted Marcy he quickly hid behind indis who sighed in disappointment of such good show coming to an end maybe next time he should do something more outrageous to provoke this kitten so he can watch much better drama.

He expected much more than this since Astrid cursed and even went as far saying how he is a little charmer and can allure anyone although in elf race it's common to find talented people talk rudely to other and highly of oneself since he almost was everyday with Aunty Maya he knew one thing for sure even if they grow 100 year old they are children and they are to give respect to elders she was strict about these things so he also got polite and humbled with Astrid they often provoked eachother causing one of them to get in trouble with aunty Maya but he would be lying he says that he didn't enjoy the bickering.

Elf tend to focus on detached parenting so he liked how this aunty of his would discipline him he felt glad to have Astrid and more mrs.maya is his life. After that Mrs.Maya invited him to visit the grave with them he gladly agreed step one of their plan successful step two indis talked how much important they have become at work community and how much other elf's value them after making sure to feed her the sweet honey it was time they drop the bitter bomb.

At first Astrid's mother face was as if she had eaten something bitter but when he repeatedly promised that they are going with other warriors and even he himself was going they would be ok finally with a heavy heart she agreed as they reached the grave. It was covered with green thick branches in a proper tomb shape that day Mrs.Maya dare not return back even when she was dying to see her husband one last time the weight of her little baby kept her desire at tight leash she often regrets not going to see him for last time.

But she had heard about how many years ago before the elf tribe came to existence more than thousands of elf were killed children adult old young ladies leaving no one the bodies blood stained the ground as they lay there with no one to collect them and bury the earth mother who has always Loved the elf race more than any other was devastated by this.

She couldn't take part in the war as god's powers get limited when they descend on earth to keep the energy balance but she giving one last blessings to not let the bodies rot with no one to claim she give them blessings that if a elf dies with no one to claim the body they would be buried by the vines and small trees giving them a proper tomb a stone would often rise from the crust of earth with the name of elf.

And thanks to that she was still able to visit here she doesn't even want to think what would have happened if the mother earth didn't give him a proper bury her bodies trembles just thinking about it she shook her head trying to get out of the past as she looked at the two elf spawn looking at her with concerned eyes she gave a light smile.

"Your little spawn has really grown up I hope you can see him from above look he is so taller than me and this" she pulled indis along holding him to her bossom "this is our second child he has always taken good care of Astrid and me for many years you would be proud to see him I am sure."

Indis was a little taken aback even though he always thought of them as a family this open declaration in front a grave of a passed loved one tugged at his heart string his eyes redden even Astrid's bit his lip to keep from his tears from falling, indis hugged back as he buried his fluffy head in Maya's shoulder a mother's warmth he never thought he will ever feel it. He always felt a little envious when he dropped Astrid at his home how he would hug his mother who would welcome him with open arms by the door.

Maya's tears fell one by one it was like this every year since he could remember his mother never cried she was stubborn and strong headed strong willed but love can make the most strongest and undefeatable beings feel fragile and vulnerable.

Indis couldn't help but cry call it his childishness but he never thought there would be a day when he would see such strong and stubborn lady cry like a child lost in market searching for her parents. But his ugly snorting dramatic cry made Astrid and Maya laugh instantly lighting up the mood this made indis mad but he couldn't stay made after Mrs. Maya took out the lunch box she had packed she had packed much more lunch because usually they would spend the whole day here now it was good they had enough food for three.

She really wanted to stay there but her son's didn't wanted her to be alone so they insist that she returns home now and they would visit with her next day again just like that these two theif were able to manipulate a very headstrong woman as they waited for the warriors to the side of the road to catch a ride to human territory.

The warriors knew about indis and Astrid the young elf with bright future so they naturally gave them ride to the human town occasionally talking about the fighting skills and Archery art with their passion for it soaring to sky "by the way why are you all going to the human town elder brother?"

The brown haired elf who was driving the cart replied pointing at the carriage at the very front "one of the elder was called upon by the first beast lord jinx it's said that she wanted to trade with us that beast lord has a crystal which is said to protect a race who has it since our race is most likely gets attack by power greedy people elder decided to go and see for himself "

" Jinx "

Astrid murmured the familiar yet unfamiliar name it was as if he was charmed and lured the words on his tongue felt strange but comforting but he was brought back to reality by a sudden movement.

Indis poked his red hair between their conversation making the driving elf angry but he just shrugged continuing what he wanted to say "But don't you think we can't trust a wolf their race has killed the most elf?" The brown haired elf looked as if he is seeing a fool "Do you even know anything about the 1st beast lord? The fact that the first beast lord is called Jinx the bad luck ? It's because she is well known for killing her own species she has even killed the wolf god"

Astrid felt a chill run down his spine just how powerful is this so called first beast lord?

Indis "what does that have to do with we trusting her?" ¯⁠\_ಠ⁠∀⁠ಠ_⁠/⁠¯

"Because she killed the wolf god to save her elf lover. "

Astrid's intrest was piqued he never thought that a wolf and elf could be together because wolf after all were greedy by nature. "Elf lover? "

"Hmm. The wolf god murdered her elf mate so the lord beast took revange and then vanished for many years some even assumed she committed suicide in grif and longing for the elf but recently the news of her returning spread like wildfire it's been maybe 15 or 16 years since she returned."

Astrid was engrossed in this love story but the pig brain indis dropped an unrelated question damping the mood "what do you think she wants in return obviously she wouldn't just hand out the crystal free of cost?" Astrid wanted to commit arson against this brother of his but to his luck the answer the brown elf gave made him suprised for a moment.

"That's the thing it's said that since she contacted the elder seer after his son just turned 18 years old and she also came out of the seclusion 15 to 17 years ago doesn't all things point to one possibility?"

Indis "what?"

Astrid "....." You really have to ask ? ಠ⁠_⁠ಠ

The brown elf felt like there was something wrong with indis's brain but he shrugged it and replied nothing less.

"That our little Eren is her mate"

Indis "No fucking way in hell! Hahaha that's damn funny!"

The brown haired elf scoffed at him "believe it or not up to you!"

Astrid leaned back looking ahead at the graceful elf on pure white horse his snow white hairs swaying gracefully in the air Eren was one hella of a beauty he has well known status and even a skilled warrior earning him the status of ice prince maybe he could be the so called mate of the first beast lord Jinx.

Every time Astrid thinks of that name he could only think of one meaning alluring although Jinx also means badluck but there is something strange that his thoughts keep diverting to that meaning alluring it would be really stupid to compare a beast to allure more like danger poor little ice prince going to be a sacrificial lamb. \_ ಠ⁠∀⁠ಠ_/

He laid there closing his eyes basking in the sunlight as his golden lock shoned brightly in the rays making many elf turn to look at his face admiring his side profile but he rested with his eyes closed unaware how the Ice prince's head turned to his direction a cold glint passed between those blood red eyes but Eren quickly averted his gaze focusing on the road.
