Unwanted Visitor

in my hand, I accepted the offer with open hands and started working in there. It was now more than a year now and I was even getting a good wage. Everything was going fine until...I was called in the office. I was for time for my promotion and the turning point of a simple jaitor's life, his name being Joe...!
𝗨𝗻𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿- "Joe, you have been called by Mr. Hill in his office upstairs! Please report immediately". I kinda knew it was time for my promotion but somehow I was not really very excited about it. It did concern me though, but it didn't get me on to top on my brown shoes, little greasy and then jumping around the whole corridor...!
"Ah! Jasper please come in". "Its... it's Joe, sir!" "Ah yes, Joseph thank you for reminding. Listen, I know you are wondering why I have called for you, is because your colleague Frank, after finding another opportunity is leaving us and so now with the subordinate level 1 Stage A and Stage B, you'll also handle the sub-level 2 also!" "Frank's leaving? But he didn't told me anything about this!" "He didn't told me either until this morning when he gave me his resignation letter".
Frank was my co-partner and my best friend in this huge maze of technology.
14 months back, when I got an opportunity for working in this company, I came here with no recognition of familiar faces. It was Frank only who introduced me to several other staff. "And he's leaving me now? That's ridiculous!" I murmured while walking the corridor of the new sub-level 2. I wanted the promotion that's true to a point, but like this? It was more of a like - snatching a kid's lunch in the recess hour. I don't know if it was right or wrong, for I wanted to talk to Frank, about all of this. He could still be here, if only I could find him timely in these new rooms.
Walking the lengths, I saw some stains of blood on the floor near the Room 2B, a secret laboratory off limits other than the authorised personnels. The blood pool carried its length till Room 2A(i) the now not-so secret Time Parentheses Room. This project they termed as Time T-May Project, its trial they used to perform in this particular room was closed just some several months ago when the most senior scientist in this project suddenly one day had gone. "Hello? Is anyone inside...are you hurt?" I could hear some faint moaning from inside and hurriedly went to inform the HR's secretary Ms. Nina. That woman believed I was the one being hurt and just gave me a bandage and now not hearing a single word out my mouth. Having no other option, I myself went to the sub-level 2 and tried to open the Room 2B. The room was actually somehow unlocked with a big machine beeping and a elderly man with blood on his torso lying on the ground with excruciating pain. I hurriedly gave him the bandage and before I could even apply it, he started to tell me something beyond my knowledge and imagination.
