The Beginning In the undulating terrain of the Xhosa lands, beneath the expansive African sky, resided a shrewd jackal named Ntshaka and a guileless yet devoted wolf named Dumisa. Despite their contrasting natures, they formed an improbable bond through the challenges of the wilderness. Ntshaka, astute and resourceful, always navigated a path to survival, while Dumisa, robust and compassionate, trailed behind, often oblivious to Ntshaka's machinations. Recognizing the escalating hardships of life in the wild due to a severe drought depleting resources, they concluded that a shift was imperative. Seizing the opportunity, Ntshaka proposed a proposition - to offer their services to a prosperous farmer, Umfundisi, residing in a lavish estate on the valley's edge in exchange for sustenance and shelter. "We can exchange our labor for food and lodging," Ntshaka suggested, his eyes glinting mischievously. Trusting in his companion, Dumisa agreed. And so, they embarked towards Umfundisi's homestead, where they received a warm reception, accommodations, and a portion of the farmer's supplies
