Six hours later, the sun was approaching its peak and the soldiers readied to depart. Only the tip of the mountains was still covered with snow but the wideness of the river, the one slithering left and right in the valley was noticeably bigger, often letting the water deviate from its path and destroy the few crops downstream.

Adelmo came to give his word, he hadn't slept in days and, in his delirium, he started to eat the sheets of his only book.

His face was emaciated, the repeated drops of water dried his skin and the yellowish dripping that coagulated under his nose had solidified to give off scaly texture.
