Chapter 1: The Prochecy

"Th..The person destined to tear the kingdom apart i...is..."as the seer's final words hung in the air, the weight of their revelation settled upon the room. With her last breath, the wise old seer passed into the beyond, leaving a void in the hearts of those who depended on her guidance. Desperation tinged the air as the officials attempted futilely to revive her, their efforts met with silence from the cold grasp of death.

King Richard of Celestia stood stricken, his once unwavering resolve shaken by the loss. With no other recourse, the kingdom turned to the daughter of the late seer, a young girl who had yet to unlock the secrets of her inherited gift. Though her tender years had shielded her from the weight of her mother's knowledge, now she was thrust into a world of prophecy and uncertainty.

As the mourners began to gather their wits and attend to the solemn task of laying the seer to rest, the young girl found herself overwhelmed with grief. Alone in her sorrow, she wept silently, her tears mingling with the echoes of her shattered world. It was then that a kindred spirit approached—a girl of similar age, drawn by the shared burden of loss.

"I think what you need is a friend," the newcomer offered gently, extending a hand of companionship. With tentative trust, they retreated to the solace of the palace garden, where the tranquility of nature provided a balm for their troubled souls.

In the hush of the garden's embrace, the first girl found her voice. She introduced herself as Celeste, the daughter of the revered soothsayer now gone. Though she felt a stirring of familiarity in the presence of her new found friend, she kept the thought to herself, choosing instead to focus on the shared moment of solace.

Her companion, revealed as a princess named Aurora, elicited a gasp of surprise. "Is it true what they say about royalty?" she exclaimed, her words spilling forth in a torrent of curiosity and misconception. Amused by the superstitions surrounding her station, dispelled the myths with a laugh.

"Being a princess is not merely about privilege and luxury," she explained, her voice tinged with a hint of longing. "My own family has overlooked me, deeming me unworthy of the royal legacy. My brothers, Nicholas and Theodore, believed the falsehoods propagated by our parents, and in turn, they became my tormentors.".

With each word, a bond of understanding blossomed between the two girls, forged in the crucible of shared pain and longing. In this unlikely union, they found solace and strength, united by the promise of a friendship that transcended the boundaries of status and destiny.

"You know, I never thought that in a million years I'd ever talk to a princess so freely as this let alone be friends with her. Don't you think you should head home by now, won't your parents be worried" .Aurora laughed in amusement, she continued by saying, "Those people don't care about me. I'm as free as a bird, but what I would like is some love from them." I get what you mean I've always been under my mother's shadow not until a few hours ago where all the burden has now been placed on my shoulders."

The soothsaying powers can only be mastered after one has come of age, but can still be harnessed and trained to be able to perform such miracles with ease as soon as one comes of age.

And so the tale of these unlike girls begins.
