In the city of Gravif, Axel, a notorious thief, 'stumbles' upon a powerful artifact. Upon unlocking its abilities, the artifact corrupts his mana, causing it to plummet to -1. With this strange glitch, Axel becomes an unstoppable force. However, Axel, preferring to operate under the radar, opts to conceal his new abilities, not one for unwanted attention. Yet, luck proves to be against him as the city of Gravif and its lurking demons have alternative plans. --- I'll keep writing 'The Blood Magic User' and release one new chapter every day. This is another project I'm working on, experimenting with the system tag and adding my own spin. Thank you for reading!
Since Barton wasn't behind the counter and Mira was nowhere to be found, I walked up to the quest board, a large, worn wooden structure full with various papers pinned on it. The board was cluttered with requests, each more desperate and chaotic than the last. Most of them were hit-and-run quests, the kind I hated and avoided. But one quest caught my eye: a thieving job titled, 'Thief Needed: Steal from my husband, please!'
I tore the paper off the board and continued my search. After a bit of sifting, I found a fairly straightforward quest: gather some special flowers that only bloomed at night outside the city walls. Easy enough.
Heading over to the bar, I placed the papers on the counter. The old woman there, with white hair and black glasses sitting loosely on her nose, glanced up at me after serving a customer.
"Two quests in one go, eh?" she remarked, examining the papers. "What's your name?"
