The Shadow Thief
In the city of Gravif, Axel, a notorious thief, 'stumbles' upon a powerful artifact. Upon unlocking its abilities, the artifact corrupts his mana, causing it to plummet to -1. With this strange glitch, Axel becomes an unstoppable force. However, Axel, preferring to operate under the radar, opts to conceal his new abilities, not one for unwanted attention. Yet, luck proves to be against him as the city of Gravif and its lurking demons have alternative plans. --- I'll keep writing 'The Blood Magic User' and release one new chapter every day. I passed by Haruko, removing my Shadow Armor and Mask, pulling my neck gaiter up instead. She followed closely, matching my pace. I tried to ignore her at first, but as she got closer and closer, I finally stopped, snapping my head back to meet her gaze. She stopped too, waiting in silence, her insistence on finding out the truth about me becoming increasingly annoying.
"Where are you going?" she asked.
"I have to bury my sister," I replied, my tone flat. "I can't leave her on the streets… but I gotta do something before that."
"I'm coming with you."
"No."
