25. KAY DANCING WITH THE SPIRALS
Baba Yaga carried a pestle over twice her size and caressed it gently as she closed in on her frightened prey. "Now where do I start from, bash the head in or grind the body to a pulp?"
Kay pulled at his body with as much force as he could but nothing happened, it felt like tugging as a huge boulder. It was impossible!
His thoughts ran faster than he could process them.
--"She's going to die!"--
--"What should I do?--
--"I'm useless, even now."--
--"Curses!"--
--"If only..."--
--"Was this my fault?"--
--"Why do I always take it as my fault?"--
--"If I could just transform just this once, then I can finally be of use."--
--"Try to remember the feeling, that instant where my brain blanks out. And..."--
DUM-DUM!
