This side of the town was renowned for its flourishing lotus flower fields, stretching as far as the eyes could see. The air was filled with a sweet and delicate fragrance

The town itself was named after this enchanting part of the town where the lotus flowers thrived, It seems as though the place was engulfed with purity and tranquillity

"Wow! It's so pretty" Amelia exclaimed, She couldn't help but feel a sense of calm wash over her as Zetian led them through the winding street.

The town exuded an aura of charm and mystery, it was as if it was inviting them to uncover its beauty and hidden stories.

Suddenly, A voice rang out, "Little Ze is that you?" Amelia turned to see an old woman approaching them, her energy evident despite her age. Her white hair was tied up in a messy bun adding to her lively appearance.

Amelia gasped, her eyes widening in surprise as she looked at the old lady

"Grandma Ze??!" She exclaimed

The old lady turned, a warm smile spread across her face as she reached out to embrace Amelia

"My child! It has been years. Come in Come in" Grandma Ze enthusiastically ushered them in.

As they entered, they both changed their shoes, Amelia noticed that the pair she wore was slightly bigger, Not her size.

"Child, Grandma doesn't have your size, So make do with these brat shoes" Grandma Ze stated.

Zetian glanced at her feet, His shoes looked ginormous on her feet.

"Nanny Zhang! Prepare more dishes. The children are back!" Grandma Ze yelled out joyfully.

"Yes old Mrs" Nanny Zhang equally yelled back enthusiastically

They all settled down on a table and Grandma Ze turned to Amelia with a disapproving look "Since the last time you visited you never came back again" She chided.

Amelia scratched her head awkwardly, stealing a glance at Zetian for help, but he remained unmoving

Growing annoyed, she kicked his legs under the table

Zetian calmly crossed his legs, showing no change in expression as he picked up a nearby newspaper

Lost in her thoughts, Grandma Ze continued, not noticing the silent exchange

"My child, I heard you now work at Little Ze's

Company, If he bullies you just tell Grandma" Grandma Ze declared proudly

Zetian glanced at the old lady and said "Grandma, you're thinking too much" Hearing this, Grandma Ze nodded in satisfaction

However, he didn't stop there, with a nonchalant shrug he added, "I won't waste my minute on a fool"

Amelia jumped up with her hands on her waist

"Hey! Who are you calling a fool?! " she fiercely retorted "You're the bigger fool, you fool"

Zetian, Feeling unfazed shrugged off her remark and resumed reading his newspaper.

Still fuming, Amelia let out a scornful snort.

Meanwhile, Grandma Ze observed their usual banter with a knowing smile

Just then Nanny Zhang strode in Carrying dishes

"Why don't you guys help with setting up the table," Grandma Ze said and they nodded

The two got up and walked into the kitchen

"Old Mrs, Do you think little Miss might have developed feelings for young master these years" Nanny Zhang Questioned

Grandma Ze scrunched her brows and rebuked "Dont be silly, She clearly has feelings for the Sun Family's Brat" she replied with certainty

Having said that, Grandma Ze was lost in deep thought

For as long as she could remember, Both the Elders of the Ze and Chi families had hoped to see a spark between them, But as time went on, it became clear that Feelings couldn't be forced. Both families eventually gave up

back in high school, Amelia was said to have accepted a love interest and it was the Sun family's heir

Grandma Ze let out a sigh and turned to Nanny Zhang, her voice filled with frustration as she expressed, "Wouldn't it be great if the Family finally had a daughter, All I have are these rotten old boys" She grumbled.

The corner of Nanny Zhang's lips curled up in amusement as she noticed the grumpy expression on Zetian face as he entered the room.

The table was set and the three settled down in their seat for a meal.

Amid their meal, Grandma Ze's voice reverberated through the room, "By the way, I heard that your sister has been making waves in the medical field" She said, a warm smile gracing her face "Ah that kid, She had always wanted to achieve something to prove to Zetian, Also i heard the sun family's brat is back, Have you seen eachother?" Grandma Ze asked curiosly

Amelia's heart skipped a beat. A genuine happiness washed over, It was a dream come true for her sister. but beneath the joy,

A hint of sadness lingered in her heart.

Grandma Ze's words played on repeat in her mind.

She had always wanted to achieve something to prove to Zetian

Yes! She had always wanted to do that, and she has done it.

A gentle reminder for Amelia.

Amelia smiled bitterly, She had once harboured feelings for Zetian since childhood. but she gave up on them when she realized his affections were directed towards her sister. It was a bitter realization for her.

"Oh, No we havent met yet, but he did gave me a call" Amelia replied with a plastered smile on her face, she tried to bury the feelings deep within.

Meanwhile, Zetian glanced at Amelia, Seeing her smile, he couldn't help but feel an uncomfortable sensation, one that he desperately wanted to shake off

Deep down, he finds her sister quite annoying and Clingy, but despite that, he knew he had to keep in mind the relationship between their families

The room buzzed with an unspoken tension, with different thoughts running through everyone's mind. they finished the meal quietly,

"Grandma, we'll be going back now" Zetian Spoke up

Grandma Ze nodded. and reminded "Be sure to visit me frequently, it is quite lonely here." She said with a pitiful expression

Amelia nodded in agreement

They bid their goodbyes and left.

The next day.

The sun shone brightly. The had booked two rooms in a hotel to stay in.

Amelia packed up and they left Liánhuā town back to the city
