A False Sense of Security

Zara Arif. A 21-year-old woman with brown hair and a warm smile that can light up any room. She has always been known for her trusting and naive nature, often giving people the benefit of the doubt even when they don't deserve it.
She has a big heart and always tries to see the best in others, but unfortunately, this makes her an easy target for those who wish to do her harm. Her zodiac sign is Virgo, which makes her a prime target for the shadow hunter.
She knows about the attacks in the past and has heard the rumors that he has returned to Zafira, but she doesn't believe that anything bad will happen to her. Zara thinks that she is invincible and that nothing can harm her, even though deep down, she knows that this is not true.
From the start, she never believed in ghosts or spirits. She has always thought of shadow hunter as a serial killer who roams the streets of Zafira hurting innocent girls for no reason.
Zara's Aunt Fatima and her mother Maimoona have tried to warn her about the danger of facing shadow hunter. Because 22 years back they saw girls getting hurt by this entity and now their young one could be in the same spot as them.
"Mama. Don't worry I will be safe." Zara said to Maimoona in an encouraging manner.
She doesn't want to live her life in fear and believes that everything will work out in the end. Little does she know that the shadow hunter is watching her every move, waiting for the right moment to strike.
Soon after this conversation, Zafira was again attacked by the shadow hunter. Three young Virgo girls were taken to the hospital today. Jawaria Afzal is 21 years old, Malika Mansoor is 20 years old, and Mehwish Khan is 21 years old.
These attacks scared Fatima and Maimoona so much that they forcibly stopped Zara from leaving the house and started keeping an eye on her around the clock. They always kept Zara in the center of the circle of burned candlesticks. Because they both knew there was no other way to stop the shadow hunter.
Fatima had seen Waleed doing this fiery method 22 years ago when he had to save his sister from the shadow hunter.
This candlestick method seems to work. There was no attack for the last week. But this evening, when Fatima was sleeping and Maimoona had gone out to collect the household goods, Zara took advantage of the situation and went for a walk inside the house. On reaching the balcony, she sees that there is a strange black figure. Without being scared she gets close to him to check who is it. She suddenly got attacked, just like the rest of the girls.
As soon as Maimoona enters the house, she finds Zara on the floor, covered in blood, "What happened is what happened." She says to herself and ran towards her daughter. She picked up Zara and ran to the hospital.
