The President's Orders

The same time Damian left his home, In the White House~

Inside of the Oval Office, a beautiful woman with light brown skin sat behind the desk with his fingers interlocked over some folders. In the center of the room on three couches, were her advisors holding multiple folders as they went through the information with each other.

"Madam President, we need to review the events of Boston. This goes far beyond what we knew about space." One man who looked in his mid-forties said.

"You know, I've been woken up in the middle of the night by you people multiple times in the past two months because you wanted to show me something new with the Boston Anomaly.

If this isn't something important just put it into a document I can look over later. It's still early so I'd like to enjoy my morning with a nice coffee while looking over other things happening in the world."

She said with a smile as she placed her fingers against her cheek with her pinky and thumb resting under her chin.

"Well Madam president, it is very important." One man said as he got up and put a file onto her desk. Looking at the man who had placed the file on her desk, her most trusted adviser, she grabbed the file and opened it, instantly becoming shocked after reading the contents.

"Is this all confirmed?" She asked.

"One hundred percent confirmed Madam President."

"I want to hide this from the media as long as possible, call any of the sightings of new kings some video effects thing.

Also, get me the soldier controlling the red flames, It says that he is currently being detained by the higher rank officers in the base he is at currently. I want him here by tomorrow, I want to speak with him personally." She said looking at her military advisors.

"But Madam, that is extremely dangerous, we don't know that man at all or what he is capable of." One of the advisors said clutching a similar file in his hand.

"We can't have that man become a problem for us, I also see it as a way for us to gain a new military asset. Either way, I want to make a deal with him since has been a part of the military for many years, he also already has a wife and kid. As long as his family is fine he will be willing to cooperate on the right terms.

Now, with that being said, bring him to me. We need to see who and what a "Pandora's King" is. She said sending out an official order to her advisors while also looking at other documents on her desk. "Good thing there are only sightings around the country so far."

...

Around five in the afternoon that same day~

Inside of a newly constructed military base on the Boston coast, built quickly during the two months that the anomaly was in the sky.

A door was opened within a certain building. After entering and walking through multiple doors guarded with armed soldiers, a white man wearing an all-black suit, appearing in his late twenties, along with nicely styled blonde hair, stopped before a cell and peered through the bars. Behind the man, three guards stood against the wall to make sure nothing happened to the man in the suit.

With his face illuminated by the crimson fire burning in his palm, the man inside of the cell shifted his eyes towards the bars of the cell for a few seconds before falling back onto the fire in his hand as it expanded and retracted repeatedly.

"Lieutenant Cole Anderson? My name is James McDonald, I came from DC in order to escort you to meet the president of the nation." The man said confidently while attempting to make eye contact with Cole. He knew that the man has had no contact with the outside for over twenty-four hours, so remembering his objective, he began to converse with the man within the cell.

...

"Is my family alright?" He asked without speaking about what James had said.

"Yes Sir, they are completely fine. You won't need to worry about them at all, now please, the President of the United States said she would like to see you by tomorrow morning." James said, causing Cole to shift his crimson-colored eyes in his direction.

"The President? What does she want to see me for?" Cole asked as he combed his hand through his red hair. He was pretty fine sitting in his cell, he understood why the higher-ups set this up so he was ready to wait here a few days, as long as his family was safe and sound. He has also had a lot of time to familiarize himself with the system.

"You'll have to come and see for yourself sir, I'm just your escort, I do not know the specifics of her request," James said as he motioned for one of the guards to open the cell door. Seeing James motion to him, one of the guards quickly opened the cell and returned to his spot within the hallway shortly after.

Noticing that James was serious, Cole stood up and extinguished the flame in his hand. Opting to cover himself in a red aura instead, Cole walked out of the cell and grabbed James by the collar before holding him against the bars of the cage. This caused the soldiers around them to raise their pistols towards Cole as he asked a simple question while looking James in the face.

(Cole, relax and let the guy go.) a young man's voice said within his mind.

"I won't do anything to him, this is all an act, Samuel," Cole said in his mind as he responded to his system AI, Samuel.

"Where are my men?" Cole questioned James as he used a bit more force to hold him against the bars of the cell. The surrounding soldiers, at this time, flicked the safety off for their weapons, preparing to deal with Cole if necessary.

Seeing this, James once again motioned the soldiers to stand down, before being as calm as possible while he answered Cole's question.

"They will be joining us soon, though they did try to protect you from being detained and were, in turn, detained as well. With you being released, they are able to go with you since you as their squad leader," he said as he held up the file he had been holding in his hand since he arrived.

"These are the confirmed kings that people have seen appear yesterday," James said keeping eye contact with Cole.

Sensing hints of a lie on the face of James, Cole released him before taking hold of the folder. "Let's go," he said plainly as he opened the folder and scanned through it. After a few moments, his eyes focused on the paper more intensely while seeming shocked at the information he saw "Red, Gold, and Green? There should be four more colors out there." He said, continuing to playing dumb as to not seem suspicious about his more accurate information on the confirmed kings.

He has spoken with the Red and Pink Kings earlier in the day when the chat feature had been unlocked. So knowing, or at least estimating, that the Pink King had not activated her throne, Cole assumed the other four kings had done the same as her.

"That's all the colors we have been made aware of sir. The other 4 kings haven't done what you've and the other 2 kings have done yet." James said as he stepped to the door of the holding area.

"Or maybe they simply haven't been chosen yet," Cole said as he closed the file and began walking beside James as they walked through multiple doors and hallways before reaching the entrance of the building.

After walking out of the building, Cole and James were greeted by four soldiers who immediately ran up to Cole.

"Squad Leader! Are you alright sir?" Kyle said, asking the question they all wanted to know.

"I'm fine Kyle, I've been wanting to try something out since earlier today. With you here I can test it, do you trust me?" He asked as a red aura began covering his body, causing surrounding soldiers to point their weapons at him. Kyle himself just looked at Cole with a nervous smile since he wasn't sure what his leader wanted to "test".

" Mr. Cole, please do this later!" James said as he quickly motioned the soldiers around them to stand down while he imagined Cole being filled with dozens of holes from one of these soldiers accidentally firing their weapons.

"Alright, calm down James. You can't lose your cool so easily. What happened to that calmness from before" Cole said as the red aura disappeared from his body, much to the relief of the surrounding soldiers as they once again lowered their weapons.

"Let's just go meet the President, we have a plane waiting for us already," James said as he pointed towards a couple of all-black vehicles in the distance.

"Give me my phone," Cole said to James as he held his hand out without looking at him. James sighed while taking out Cole's phone and placing it in his hand. He seriously began to wonder why he was chosen to escort this man.

Receiving his phone, Cole made a wry smile as he saw that his wife had called him over five times over the past twenty-four plus hours. Knowing that they had usually talked twice a day, not hearing from him for over a day was unnatural and worrying.

Knowing well that his wife would assume many things after so long, he quickly called her, to which she picked up instantly.

"Where the hell have you been?!" A calm but clearly angry woman's voice said into Cole's ear as he smiled in defeat.

"Hey... before you start going off on me honey... let me explain..." Cole said slowly and lovingly as he thought of the best way to phrase his excuse, along with the somewhat helpful Samuel.
