Celebrating A New Point In Life

Around 10 minutes later, while Rose and Damian sitting across from each other and talking about their favorite color when they heard a knock on their already open door. Looking towards the door, Damian saw it was Kai and Ari with a few others behind them.

"Hey Damian, my mom was able to catch your mom in the hallway. She gave her a ride back home so your mom left your keys and your car for you." Ari said as she threw the car keys across the room and onto Damian's bed.

"That's great!" Damian said as he put his keys into his pocket.

"Also, we were planning to all go eat together since today is the move-in day. Both of our roommates agreed so we came to see if you wanted to come." Ari cheerfully said as she smiled at him while holding onto the shoulders of the girl standing in front of her. The girl had short pink hair and wore a short black skirt and a blue sweater.

"H-Hello… My name is Kate… Nice to meet you!" the girl said shyly as she attempted to make eye contact with Damian but failed to and quickly looked away.

"Is she alright?" Damian asked in his head as he quickly responded to her before Kai, with another boy, walked past the ladies and swung his arm around the young man's shoulder.

"This is Ryan, my roommate," Kai said happily, introducing the young man to Damian.

Looking at the young man with short and spikey black hair, who simply wore some khaki pants and a red shirt, he smiled and gave him a handshake. Seeing everyone turn his eyes to him, Damian was a bit embarrassed as he quickly introduced Rose to everyone.

"Your friend's roommate is a girl? Is that allowed?" Kate asked as she held her sweater-covered hands over her mouth.

"I assume so since our dorm is co-ed," Kai said to which Ryan nodded and added.

"You can have a male or female roommate if both people are fine with it."

Hearing Ryan say those words, Damian smiled and sat on the edge of his bed while Rose introduced herself.

"Where were you all planning to eat at? The Cafe?" Damian asked to which everyone looked at him as if he were stupid.

"We can afford to go to a nice restaurant and eat lunch together today so why not, we will eat at the cafeteria throughout the semester so let's go and see what's around here. We can also go and see what jobs are available for us to get. Even if we do get a complimentary thirty thousand a year to use for anything we want, we still need jobs." Ari said, to which everyone agreed.

"Then did you all find a place?" He asked as Kai smiled and quickly pulled out his phone before handing it to Damian after pulling up a website.

"There is a place down the street that's a twenty-minute walk. Student reviews rate it the best place around. It's apparently a really nice place with great food." Kai said in response, to which Ryan added that due to its popularity, they would need to leave now if they wanted to get a spot for a group of their size.

Quickly realizing the problem, Damian and Rose agreed to go, to which the group of six left and went down the nicely scenic path before arriving at the restaurant just before twelve. They all wouldn't fit in Damian's car without being squished so with the place not too far, they walked.

Unfortunately, there was already a long line of people waiting outside of the building but since it was a nice day, the group opted to wait to get inside.

After almost 45 minutes of waiting outside, though slightly annoyed, the group was seated in the middle of the restaurant right beside the large windows that allowed them to see the beautiful view of the outside world.

Getting menus, Damian ordered a few drinks and appetizers that everyone felt would be good before ordering a nice hickory bourbon bacon burger. While they talked about things from highschool to hobbies, they quickly got into the conversation of the NAU, the school they all attended.

"Did you know that we have a uniform?" Kai said, surprising Damian a bit.

"We do?" He asked in response to which Rose quickly confirmed.

"Yeah, it's a royal purple button-down shirt with some nice designs on it and some black pants," Ryan said as he smiled at the waiter who had just brought everyone drinks.

"The girls get something similar isn't that right Ari?" Damian asked as he wondered what the girl's uniform looked like.

"Yes," she nodded and thought back to the uniform she had found hanging in her closet. "The girl's uniforms are the same except with a black skirt and some black leggings or stockings.

We are all allowed to wear whatever we want over our uniform during the school way but we have to have it on unless we are finished with classes."

"So we have to wear the uniform if we go to classes and while we wait for classes?" Ryan asked confused as to why that was the case.

"Yes, it is a rule that unless you are finished with classes for the day, you cannot wear anything else," Kate answered with a smile as she thought about how odd that rule was.

"Well... Whatever. We all have morning classes right?" Damian asked to which Rose replied with a shake of her head.

"I have afternoon classes since I am not a morning person." She said with a smile as Ari gave her a thumbs up.

"Well… we can just change out of the uniform if we skip classes right? How would they even enforce the uniform rule?" Kai asked.

"Did you see the White and Blue terminals around the entrance of the campus and the dorms? They didn't have it activated today but tomorrow we will need to use those to enter the school buildings.

"They also do a quick body scan to see if you wearing the uniform so if you have classes left in the day and walk around or leave the campus without the uniform on, then you will receive a strike on the phone they give you," Rose said as she swirled her straw around in her soda.

Looking up from her drink, Rose quickly blinked her eyes as started to blush when she found everyone looking at her.

"It was in the information letter we received when we were accepted, did you all not look at it completely???" She asked to which everyone simply looked away as if not wanting to answer. "These people…" She said within her mind.

(That's right Rose! These people don't deserve to be your friends if they can't even read a simple piece of paper!) A rowdy female voice said within rose's mind.

"Can you calm down Ina? They aren't bad people, I will give them a chance."

(What about the Damian kid? He is your roommate)

"I will give him a chance as well, If he tries anything then I'll simply report him to the dean) She said in her mind as she quickly took a sip of her soda while the rest of the group changed the subject.

After eating a fairly priced lunch, the group walked back to the school with content smiles on their face. They had decided to let the guys split the bill if the girls split the next bill. With that compromise, there was little arguing when the bill of over one hundred dollars landed on the table.

Finally reaching the school dorms again after a slow and peaceful walk from the restaurant, the group split up to go back to their dorms and finish setting up things and prepare for the next day.

Damian walked with Rose back to the room and after opening it, she said something that made his mind slow down immensely.

"I want to take a shower so stay out of the bathroom."

"O-Ok…" He said as he went over to his bed and sat on it before turning back to where Rose was standing just in time to see her remove clothes from her bag.

"Can you not look? I don't like people looking at my underwear." She said, causing Damian to turn get off of his bed and start setting up his computer and gaming console. As he finished connecting everything and hooking up an ethernet cable, he turned around to see Rose wearing only a towel as she looked right into his eyes and told him once again to not try and enter the bathroom.

Quickly nodding his, Rose smiled gently as she thanked him before walking into the bathroom, leaving Damian to seriously wondered how this new experience would affect him. Sitting down in front of his chair, he turned on his xbox420 and before getting on one of his most favorite games, Battlefield.

After 15 minutes, the door to the bathroom slowly opened as a curious Rose wondered why Damian was yelling and randomly saying phrases like "GG" and "You are so bad". Seeing he was intensely focused on the game he played on his tv, she slowly stepped out of the bathroom wearing only her towel and walked behind him out of pure curiosity.

Playing the game intensely, Damian was surprised when he felt a tap on his shoulder.

Slowly turning his head in the same direction, he was dumbstruck as he saw Rose behind him with her towel on and wet hair sticking to her face and neck. Taking a few seconds to seriously study Rose's face, he noticed her begin to blush and quickly turned away while moving part of his headset off of his ear.

"What's up?" He asked as he attempted to focus back on the game.

"I am going to change into some new clothes, if you turn around and try to take a peek I will report you to the dean." She said as she began walking to her bed.

"Why is she so beautiful…" Damian said softly as he thought back to that alluring scene moments ago. He would be lying if he said he wasn't a bit attracted to the way Rose looked just now, and as if agreeing with him, his friend under the desk was saluting in approval.
