It was almost dark when Martin said, "I'm gonna head out for work soon."

"Okay good luck," I replied.

"I said soon, but thank you anyway." Martin took a seat next to me. We were both sitting in the guest room. "Where did you get that?" He pointed at the ring that I held in my hand.

I was looking at it the whole time, "it's a gift."

"A gift...? From who?" he asked.

"A girl."

"Wait, you mean that girl from the hospital?" Martin guessed.

"Is she you're girlfriend?"
