Chapter 59: The Restaurant Part 1

Ariana stopped breathing when she saw the vast park in front of her. It was beyond gorgeous with its' bright green dewy grass, colorful vivid flowers, neoclassical statues, white gazebos, and tall trees. A pond sat off to the side with lily pads and gorgeous floating flowers. A bridge arched over the water and fish swam through the calm rippling water. Kids giggled off in the distance and dogs barked. A cool breeze ran through her summer dress, picking up the skirt around her knees. Her hair picked up with the breeze as she got lost in the beauty of it.

Carter slowly stepped up beside her in his light denim designer jeans, plain white tee, and aviators. "So? What do you think? I thought you-"

"I love it." Ariana suddenly spun to face him and took his hand in hers as she peered up at him with tear brimmed eyes.

Carter parted his lips as he watched a tear cascade down her cheek. He raised a hand to run his thumb along her cheek to catch it. "Then why are you crying?"
