Chapter 30: No One Has to Know Part 1

Ariana sat at her desk and tapped papers on her desk as she blew out the breath she had been holding in. She licked her lips and went to her computer, mindlessly clicking the mouse. Ariana was beyond bored at the moment and she missed Carter. Which seemed so silly to her because he was across the way in his own office. If she looked over, she could see him plain as day. But for some reason she still felt so separated from him.

The unlocking of his doors had only made her feel closer to him. Had only made her heart long for him more. She missed him even though they were only separated by two panes of glass and a hallway.

Ariana peered around her computer to see Carter staring at her. She raised an eyebrow at him as he began to write on a piece of paper with a fancy black marker. He held it up to her and she blushed.
