Chapter 194: Now, Listen Closely

Carter sat on his private jet with Ariana. He watched her bring a glass of wine to her lips and sighed. She was lost, looking out the window and holding a notebook in her lap. She was busy working on a novel that she had been wanting to publish lately. It was an ongoing project that she had never finished but had wanted to. Carter had agreed to publishing it years ago through the company, but she had gotten writer's block and things had gone downhill as well within that timeframe.

"How's your novel coming along?" Carter brought a glass of sparkling water to his lips.

"I think I've gotten past the last block I had." Ariana sighed and turned her attention back to the story on her lap. "I moved them to Europe."

"Oh? Is this something you want to happen?" Carter smirked, and she rolled her eyes.

"It's nice, but I'm happy where I am." Ariana giggled and brought her wine to her lips.
