Chapter 164: Hot Mess

Carter finished up approving a project before packing his bookbag and leaving his office. He was incredibly exhausted from his long day and he just wanted to get home, but not until he saw Mia. Matteo was back in Italy for the time being and Elena was here with Mia and Daniel.

Mia had gotten a lot better since she had arrived, and it had shocked not just the medical staff but them as well. She had taken to the experimental drugs with ease and it was something to truly celebrate. He hurried up to his car and took off to the hospital to see her.

It took him a bit to get there because traffic was so bad, not that that surprised him. New York had some of the worst traffic he had ever dealt with. He arrived at the hospital and parked. It took him moments to get out of his car and make his way to the entrance to ask to be let into her room.
