Chapter 109: Learning More About You

Carter followed her into the bedroom with a confused expression. "What are you talking about? She has a therapist for that."

Ariana shook her head and pulled out his mother's journal. "No, she needs someone outside of therapy work to hear her story. Part of it is in here." She gestured towards Carter with the journal.

"You seriously brought that thing here?" Carter sighed as she nodded.

"I did. I have yet to finish it and I want to." Ariana sat down in one of the chairs and flipped it open to where she left off.

"Did you get to the ring yet?" Carter sat down on the arm of the chair and played with his silver ring.

"No, I have yet to find that in here. I'm assuming it'll happen further along." Ariana shrugged and went back to reading. "Currently she is talking about you learning to do art. I didn't know you painted." She peered up at him and watched him blush and rub the back of his neck.
