Wow.

Diagon Alley.

I'm standing in Diagon Alley.

Life could not get better!!

Remus looks down at me and smiles, he ruffles my hair and points to a shop with lots of animals inside. "Now, as a first year you can take an owl, cat or a toad. Which are you going for? Please don't say toad." I giggled and looked up to him. "I'm getting a really fluffy cat." I grabbed Remus' hand and dragged him towards the store, Sirius and Tonks following close behind.

As soon as I enter, I find an eccentric looking woman at the desk, feeding a colourful parrot on her shoulder. I looked around the store, and my eyes narrowed in on a fluffy, grey and chubby kitten that is sleeping in the corner on a cat bed. I walk quietly upto it and it's eyes open. They're a brilliant hazel, I slowly stroke the cat's back and it begins to purr.

I look back to Remus and smile, "This cat shall be mine" I gently lift the cat and press it against me. I walk over to the lady at the counter and show her the cat I want. She smiles and looks upto Remus. "That one's a he, and Sirius" His head snaps up to her, "The cat's on me" She gives him a strange look to which he responds with a nod and we leave the shop. "What are you going to call him, Thea?" Tonks asks.

I look down at my kitten and immediately come up with a name. "James, so then I can nickname him Jammie." Remus and Sirius share a grin but their eyes are full of tears. "That's a brilliant name, Thea. I'm sure he'll wear it with pride" I smile and Tonks directs me to Ollivanders. I gently give James to Tonks and enter alone.

An very old looking man, presumably Ollivander, is standing at the desk with his eyes closed. When I enter, his eyes immediately open and he grins when his pupils land on me.

"Thea. I've been waiting a long time for you" I nod at him. Sirius told me that Ollivander sometimes says odd things.

He seems to stare at me for a while, "Has anybody said that you have your father's eyes?" I shake my head, nobody ever mentions my parents. "Did you know them?" He nods, "They came here to get their wands. Your mother managed to make a whole wall of wands come crashing to the ground." I smile at that. "Let's try you with a Sycamore wood" He hands me a medium sized wand with a block patten along the sides. As soon as I touched it, all the lights explode. Ollivander quickly takes the wand away and hastily puts it away.

He seems to mutter something to himself while desperately looking for something. He grins widely when he seems to find what he was looking for. "Its always worth trying, even a combination can be right" I don't understand his words but take the wand from him.

It feels a good weight in my hands, has a nice texture, and isn't too big. I feel a warmth surround me, like a huge familiar hug. My eyes close for a split second but then open up when the hug seems to dissipate.

Ollivander seems to be smiling and gesturing to the wand. "The wand chooses the witch, am I right?" I nod at him, I pull out my galleons to give to him but he refuses. "Pre paid" My eyebrows furrow and I'm about to ask him something but Tonks enters the shop and drags me out. She seems to have a mischievous glint in her eye, "Guess who's signing at Flourish and Blotts?" I shrug, still fiddling with my wand.

"Hermione Granger"

My head snaps up as my face falls into shock. Hermione Granger was the best author of all time, by far. I rush over to where Sirius and Remus are leaning against a wall, "What are you waiting for?! We have to go to Flourish and Blotts!" I drag both of them to the store and my smile fades when I see the huge line that is wrapping around the street to get books signed. I'm about to complain about the length of the line, but Sirius just grabs my hand and pulls me towards the door and gets people to move for us to pass through.

We get closer to Hermione Granger and my excitement is at an all time high. Sirius has now pulled us to the front of the line where lots of people are protesting at his barging through. But when Hermione spots him, her face lights up and she leaves her signing desk and engulfs him in a hug. "Sirius! How have you been? It's been so long!" He chuckles and hugs her back, but then pulls back and gestures down to me. "Its been too long. And this, is Thea." Hermione's eyes widen as she looks at me.

"Oh Merlin!" She pulls me into a hug as I revel in the fact that I'm being hugged by my favourite author.

I look up to Sirius, "Why did you never tell me before that you knew Hermione Granger?" He just cheekily grins as Hermione pulls away from me. She studies my face carefully, "Tonks was right, she does look like her father." My eyebrows furrow, why is everybody suddenly mentioning my parents now?

"You'll never guess what she named her cat." Hermione looks away from me and to Sirius. "What did she name it?" I'm about to answer when Sirius butts in. "James" Hermione's face seems to go from sad to happy. "That's what he'd always want, to be a fluffy cat no doubt" Sirius nods as Hermione looks back down to me.

"Now, what books do you need for school?"
