THE SECRET OF THE KINGDOM

Before Maleficent and all the other fairies, before Prince Phillip, and even before Princess Aurora became a princess, there was a historical war between the light fairies (i.e. the good fairies) and the dark fairies (i.e. the evil fairies). This huge war killed all, but four fairies: Flora, Fauna, Merry-weather, and Maleficent. However the war ended once Aurora was born. How she was born and whom bore her was a mystery and that became the secret of Sleeping Beauty (i.e. Aurora).
