The Perfect Boss

He is welcomed into the top office by a friendly co-worker. It was Rob. He was employee of the month which seemed like a millennium. He deserved recognition due to his hard work and initiative at S-Corporation. Barry gets led to his desk where a pile of documents awaits him. He was always assigned the most intricate of jobs. He was called the human computer by his many colleagues as he was very good with technology. Who else could possibly do these types of jobs besides Barry. His boss walks from his chair to Barry's desk along with a world's best boss mug in his hand. His boss was relatively large in figure and slightly lean. His tie is straight and neat compared to Barry's tie which is just hanging by the collar but Mr Magnus didn't look even mildly disconcerted. "Good morning Barry, I see that you are ready for work, and thanks for helping us out with the audit last week. They are a real neck ache." Barry replies, "Just happy to assist my fellow boss and co-workers. Mr Magnus is the most satisfied with his answer and leaves him too it. But first he tells him, "Remember to send those emails out for the end of year party for Rob." He answers, "You got It, Mr Magnus. "Please call me Hugh." He insists to Barry. He is fine with this and begins checking the documents. Just an average day's work for an average man. Printers and computers hum to life all around the office. The rustling of papers is obvious but isn't annoying. Barry's document pile seems to never end but he doesn't seem fazed by it as he is a man of great concentration. Suddenly he hears the beep of the photocopier in the far corner of the room. It buzzes until it breaks with a great bang. The top is smoking. "Damn it, another one bites the dust," replies Rob in disarray. Though the entire corporation was relatively new, it didn't stop the equipment becoming obsolete. Due to mass expenses of the construction of the building the entire company had to result in budget cuts. But Barry wishes that the business should be thriving more as the S-Corporation is the best place to be and will use money to support other businesses as they aren't corrupt, they aren't evil, they aren't suspicious. The resumes of everyone he knows are clean so there would be no reason to not help the business. Barry would just ponder while continuing his task. The boss man always would lend a hand to his workers when they would fail. His specialty was looking out for the little guy. Mr Magnus couldn't possibly have evil endeavours or inhibitions. Barry rustles through the draw below his desk trying to find a stapler. It is a real chore of five frustrating minutes rummaging for the office tool. He finally feels the outline of the stapler that has only a few staples left within the jaw. He fuses the corners of the monotonous pile of documents together securely to make sure his boss stays a happy chappie. The documents themselves actually contain vital information for the company. But what was it? Barry couldn't quite understand but knew it must have something to do with the S-Corporation. The contents of them were top secret, so he knew he had no obligation to mention it as it could get him fired. But he did ponder what each document would say, but again he wasn't allowed to really utter anything, not even the smallest of whispers. Barry's next order of business was his warm soothing cup of coffee. He was parched to the bone like a panting dog. He moves the blue tinted mug towards his mouth pouring the lovely rich liquid down his throat. It was a nice, refreshing cup of creamy coffee. It was enough for him to sign in relaxation. Though he couldn't be too calm as the boss would return any second to check on him to see whether or not he was scrutinizing accordingly. So, Barry places the coffee mug back on the left of his desk right next to his loud coloured drinking bird. A nifty toy with a tilting head that slowly moved until stationary again. Barry logs on to his computer that awoke from its technological slumber. He goes into his emails to start sending the message to the entire office block for Rob's celebration. Again, the computer wizard that Barry was known to be confident and carefully writes a proper structured email to everyone. The shift today was similar to other days but overall, Barry was okay with it.
