Selene

"How are you, Azriel?" Mara checked Azriel thoroughly, shifting his face from side to side. "You've been okay?" 

"I've been okay, ma." He said. 

"Don't lie! Are you stressed for anything?" 

"I'm not!" Azriel grumbled. 

I smiled, watching their exchange. It was such lovely- My thoughts were cut off, when Zion sat beside me, "You miss that?" 

"Miss what?" My smile faltered as his question pulled me back to the memories I rarely revisited. "I barely had that. My grandma was the only one who seemed to actually care for me. But she was tired and spent most of the day in bed. She used to tell me stories of magic." A bittersweet smile touched my lips as I spoke, memories of her comforting presence resurfacing. "I used to think it was true. I dreamed of that, wishing that I had magic. And now, I'm so happy it exists, and we have it."

Zion nodded, understandingly, "And our parents? Were they real bad?"
