Chapter 034

Selene

I plopped down on the couch all sweaty from the training, scrolling on my phone. Azriel was making dinner in the kitchen, and I was trying to pass time.

"Zel, I am bored." I whined, dragging myself down the couch.

He burst out laughing, looking at me, making be smile. I loved when he laughed because of me.

"Not my problem. I am working here."

I whined again, "I didn't tell you to do that. I am not even hungry." And just my luck, my stomach growled loudly right there and then, causing that annoying smirk to curve up his lips. I blushed, feeling a mix of embarrassment and annoyance. "You didn't hear that... Okay, fine. Maybe I am a little hungry."

He chuckled, turning off the stove and walking over to where I was sitting. "I thought so. You always get hungry after training."
