"That sword has been passed down from one lord to the next," Albert said. "It was forged by the first demon lord and he poured his very essence into crafting the blade. This is why it has a mind of its own."
"It's alive?" Yuna said both horrified and intrigued. She had touched it...What if she were to accidentally offend it in the near future? Would it hate her?
"Not exactly," Albert said, shaking his head. "It doesn't have intelligence, per say, it is more like it is aware of the first's wishes and tries to fulfill them. Though what exactly the first desired is lost to us. The individual runes, etched into the blade, represent the attributes it seeks in a demon lord."
Joe leaned forward on his throne, "So, it found my wife worthy?" He said.
