Chapter 10 Stranger

"I do want a lot of things but money is not one of them sweetheart." His warm breath hit Niya as he whispered in her ear.

Niya shuddered and slight fear filled her. The man was clearly more powerful than her. She tried to stay calm. One slip from him that is all she needs and then she will be free.

"Then what do you want?" She kept talking to distract him.

"Your wrist should be grasping the sword with a bit less power."

"Huh?"

"You use too much force to hold your sword and it ends up restraining your moment."

Niya was confused about why was this man helping her when clearly, he was here to damage not to help.

As if he understood Niya's confusion the man continued to speak in a muffled voice.

"You asked me what I wanted, for now, I want you unharmed on the battlefield."

At that, Niya realized who it was but for some reason, she kept a façade of unknown ongoing.

"But—"

"Pretend for your own safety and satisfaction of your pride."
