Chapter 9

Silva's House (Night)

The night at the Silva House was quite quiet, neither Nozel nor the twin brothers were there. They were out on an expedition along with other squads, Noelle and Asta took advantage of this as they were dining together oblivious to the expressions of the maids around them.

Some maids had expressions of embarrassment, others as if they saw a ghost and few had a slight smile when they saw how happy Noelle was because most of the time they found her in a gloomy mood, but next to this boy they don't know it's totally the opposite.

''So have you heard from Mimosa? She hasn't come to train with us in a while'' Asta asked while feeding Noelle who was sitting on his lap.

''I asked the maids'' Noelle's eyebrows furrowed and her fists clenched, she looked quite angry.

''What did they tell you?'' Asta asked softly as he wiped Noelle's mouth.

''She's having several arguments with her squad members, and things seemed to get worse since a certain Yuno arrived'' Noelle explained.

Asta sighed, if it was what he thought it would most likely not end in a simple 'discussion' he knows very well the attitude of some nobles, they think they can have it all and that commoners will always be beneath them. 'Like the other races I knew, arrogant and proud that stupid arrogance led many of them to their doom' Asta's eyes were lost for a moment in a pensive state.

''I know you want to help her, in fact I want too but...'' Asta came out of his thoughtful state and spoke calmly while looking Noelle in the eyes.

''But?'' Noelle looked at Asta impatiently, she was really worried about something happening to Mimosa.

''We should let her figure things out on her own, we can be there in case things get extreme. You know..., since Mimosa saw how you've improved so fast, she's been trying so hard too, she wants to be a strong woman like her cousin, she has her own pride and that's something we should respect'' Asta explained to Noelle while stroking her cheek.

''I know... But I'm worried about her, she's one of the few people most important to me and closest to me. If anyone from Golden Dawn Squadron dares to lay a finger on her it's not just blows they'll get'' Noelle's expression twisted with annoyance.

''Hahahaha'' Asta hugged Noelle and gave her a kiss on her forehead. Noelle pouted as she looked at him.

''Well, she's most likely at home sleeping right now, tomorrow we'll go. Even if the Wizard King himself is there to stop her, you two will come out completely unscathed'' Asta exhibited a faint smile.

''You've become arrogant since you started playing with your antimagic'' Asta was about to say something but Noelle closed his mouth with her lips, she inserted her small pink tongue looking for Asta's which didn't take long to appear.

''...'' The expressions of the maids were a mixture of terror and shame, terror for the bold words that Noelle's boyfriend said with such confidence, and shame for the way they were kissing as if they were not in the room...

Asta carried Noelle without stopping kissing her, then headed for the bedroom. When Noelle opened her eyes after the long kiss she realized she was in the bathroom, Asta put her down, then slowly undressed while Noelle looked at him without looking away.

Asta entered the large square-shaped pool, then turned to look at Noelle.

"Are you coming?'' Asta exhibited a naughty smile.

Noelle, even though her face was flushed, began to undress slowly, obviously on purpose, and looked Asta straight in the eyes, showing her naked body.

''D-do you like what you see?'' Noelle couldn't stand Asta's passionate gaze and looked away. She received no response Asta, as she was about to look up, two warm hands wrapped around her waist and grabbed her.

'''I...''' Before Noelle could say anything Asta kissed her intensely, his tongue explored each side of her mouth making her mind go blank, her eyes started to blur, Asta pulled away leaving a trail of saliva and looked into her beautiful purple eyes, just as he pulled away, Noelle counterattacked him by grabbing his head and kissing him aggressively.

Minutes later they were lying in bed, Noelle looked at Asta with a sleepy face and decided to ask something.

''You control yourself pretty easy huh?'' Noelle looked at Asta curiously. 'I always feel he's very mature even though he's young' Noelle thought

''You look like you want me to devour you right now hahaha'' Asta let out a soft laugh upon hearing what Noelle said.

''Yes!, I mean N-no!, I want to take things a bit slow but it's hard to resist... my feelings for you developed very fast, you came into my life like a light in the middle of the darkness, every day I feel I love you more and more'' Noelle spoke quickly her face turned a little red.

''Take your time love, when you want to move forward, we'll move forward, but you have to be careful with me when doing these things'' Asta spoke while stroking Noelle's back

Noelle tilted her head tenderly, but soon felt something hot and large brush against her private parts.

''Ah!'' Noelle hid her face in Asta's chest full of embarrassment.

''Pfft...'' Asta held back laughter at Noelle's actions.

Soon sleep overtook them and they fell asleep....

Golden Dawn Base (Sunrise)

''I'm not going to stay in this place anymore, I'm getting out of here''In the middle of a large table where there were several members of the Golden Dawn, Mimosa threw her squadron cloak on the table with an annoyed expression. Most of the people at the table were tense because they didn't want to make things worse, but an amber-eyed, black-haired boy looked at Mimosa with a frown on his face.

''Do you think you can just leave like that? Your magic is very useful, we need you here'' The boy spoke with an authoritative tone.

''Yuno... Are you still going to keep meddling in my affairs?'' Mimosa looked at Yuno as if she wanted to stab him with a thousand daggers. The members at the table were dumbfounded as they felt Mimosa's anger visible in her expression, is this the Mimosa that always had a kind expression? What did Yuno do to her to make her so upset.

Unbeknownst to them the plants outside the base were moving strangely, as if reacting to Mimosa's mood.

''I've only tried to get close to you and form a friendship as squadron members'' Yuno spoke calmly

''Get close to me? These days you've been getting worse by insisting more and more even though I reject you, you even chased me into the forest one day? Are you crazy? Just because the leader recruited you for having a 4 cloverleaf grimoire doesn't mean you can do as you please'' Mimosa clenched her fists tightly, the image of her plants piercing through Yuno flashed through her head for a moment, but she immediately pushed the thought from her mind.

''Did you really do that Yuno? Don't you think you've gone too far we should leave her alone'' Letoille looked at Yuno with a frown

''Mimosa, let's talk'' Yuno ignored Letoille causing her to glare angrily at him.

''I've made my decision Yuno'' Mimosa said as she turned around.

''You're not going through that door until we get things straightened out!'' Yuno summoned his grimoire to stop Mimosa, the others seeing that things were getting out of control summoned their grimoire ready to stop Yuno, but they were in for a shock.

¡Crack!

''!!!'' The wooden floor shattered and plants emerged quickly immobilizing everyone in the room, Yuno reacted quickly cutting the plants with his wind magic, he looked at Mimosa's back casually raised his hand summoning a sphere of wind ready to fire.

''Y-'' Mimosa turned to look at him with a cold expression but before she could say anything a voice she knows very well was heard.
