23 Chapter 23

Mimosa was surprised by Charlotte's sudden outburst, Sol got nervous because she knows that when her captain gets angry she can't do anything and everything turns into a mess.

Asta raised an eyebrow like Dwayne Johnson and then said ''I refuse''

Charlotte took a quick step closing the distance between her and Asta immediately, her hand went to Asta's head like a claw, Asta easily caught her attack, Charlotte threw a punch with her other arm but Asta also caught it, she was going to send a knee but Asta turned her to the other side.

''Let me go!'' Charlotte was embarrassed, she could feel Asta's body behind her back very close to her, this is the first time she had so much contact with a man, she wanted to hit him for making her so weak.

''Calm down, is this supposed to be the attitude of a captain? pouncing on married men? I thought you were a cold and serious and beautiful woman but in reality you are shameless, apparently you can't judge a book by its cover as they say...'' Asta said

''Y-you!'' Charlotte's face turned red with embarrassment, she unconsciously grew heather trees hurting Asta,Even though the trees gave Charlotte several cuts, Asta did not separate from her. Once he is interested in a woman it is very difficult for a stubborn man like him not to try to approach her.

''C-captain your magic!'' Sol said she was about to approach Charlotte but Mimosa stopped her and said ''Don't worry nothing will happen if he is here''

Sol wanted to go, but decided to listen to Mimosa, the last time Charlotte got out of control it was a complete disaster since no one was there to help her, she seriously injured several members of her squad, she had to retract her magic by herself but when she saw the number of injured people she felt her heart sink.

''Get away! you're hurting yourself'' Charlotte said in a worried tone.

''Aren't you a captain? You are supposed to control your magic well, where did all that confidence, bravery and nobility that you exuded go?'' Asta said without letting go of Charlotte.

Charlotte's eyes widened, she had been carried away by anger again and her magic went out of control, she calmed down and slowly the trees began to retract.

Asta let go of Charlotte, but didn't give her his rapier, he looked at it one last time and then sheathed it on Charlotte's waist.

''Your rapier skills in the coliseum were amazing, I would like to have a duel with you'' Asta said with a slight smile

''Do you know how to use the rapier too?'' Charlotte asked.

''I know how to use a lot of weapons'' Asta said as he approached Mimosa, Mimosa summoned her grimoire and began to heal him.

Charlotte looked at Asta with interest, if they could right now she would have asked them to duel but she decided to do it another time.

''We have to go Noelle is probably waiting for us'' Asta said to Mimosa while carrying her like a princess.

''See you soon Charlotte'' Asta said with a slight smile, Mimosa also said goodbye waving her hand, Asta's feet turned dark and he disappeared as if he had never been there.

''What a speed!'' Sol said astonished.

Asta was flying through the beautiful starry night with Mimosa in his arms.

''I don't understand husband,Even though Noelle and I, see you as a good man, you keep saying maybe that's not really the case'' Mimosa said confused.

''It's complicated Wifey, I will tell you at some point''

''It's ok I won't pressure you, I love you to much, you don't need to tell me the bad things you've done in the past, you may have done terrible things in your past, but that's your past, i love the man that you are now''Mimosa said softly as she kissed Asta on the cheek, Asta could feel his heart melt, did he really deserve this? after so many races and humans he killed in his past? 'I am no longer that warrior from before that is in the past' Asta thought an then said.

''Thank you wifey, i love you too''Asta kissed Mimosa passionately.

''Can you continue telling me the story of the warrior husband? You have also half told Noelle, it is very interesting and we want to know what happened to the warrior'' Mimosa said curiously

''Why are you two so interested in such a tragic story?'' Asta looked at Mimosa with a complicated expression.

''Yuno...'' Letoile stopped abruptly in front of Yuno's room, Sylph sighed hearing what Yuno said, definitely no child deserved what happened to Yuno, Letoile entered the room and laid Yuno on his bed.

''Stay with me again'' Yuno looked Letoile in the eye while caressing her cheek.

Letoile sighed and lay down next to Yuno, Yuno picked her up and placed her head on her chest.

''Thanks for sticking together with such a patetic man like me'' Yuno said sleepily.

''You're not patetic Yuno...'' Letoile said while caressing Yuno's chest, she understood Yuno's feeling, going so far just to turn around and see that you are alone is hard, what is the point of having riches, power and many other things if you are alone?

Letoile raised her head and looked at Yuno who had fallen asleep, stroked her hair gently and then said.
