Leilani looked up once the door to her office was knocked. Her green eyes squinted into slits. She had clearly instructed that she would not like to be disturbed. Without Timaeus in the family with her, her workload had doubled. Then, just a few hours prior, she had gotten off of the phone with the leader of the Adler family.
He had expressed his willingness to meet with her and discuss business. Thus, to clear up her schedule for the intended day, she had decided to work ahead of her schedule. She was tempted to click her tongue in irritation, but she pushed the feeling down, cleared her throat, and called out for the person who was outside to come in.
