He left me on the doorstep.  My heart jumped when he said, "You go inside. I'll look around and I'll come."  What if the Raven is still here?  What if he didn't get far enough?  I had to stop Cesur from catching him. 

I held your hand.  "I checked. I must have heard wrong," I said as he placed his hand on mine and stroked it lightly. 

"Let me check, though. You wait for me inside," he said, and slammed the door on me. 

I went into the bedroom.  Cesur's warmth was still felt.  I must have been cold when I stood outside.  After a small shudder, I waited for Cesur.
