To whom does this honor belong? •I ran my finger around the circle of his tattoo one turn. "Do you feel?" ' I asked bitterly. "There's a big sign right here." If he spoke bravely, he would probably say stamp. Or damn. "You don't see it, but you feel it. It's right here. A rope that wraps you around you." Chapter 15

"Ezgi, what happened?"  I said again.  We had already gone to Ezgi's room.

"Dad," she said, pulling the suitcase from under her bed.  "She's sick."

"How did he get sick?"

"I don't know, Asli, they say it's a small heart attack, but I'm sure they said it so as not to upset me," she said in her tearful voice.

She was trying to fit the clothes she had scrambled out of her closet into her suitcase.

"Are you going to England?"  I asked.

"Yup,"

"I'm coming too," I said immediately.  I couldn't leave Ezgi alone.

"No, no. There's no need for that. I've already bought my ticket," he said as he rummaged through his personal belongings.

"But," I was about to start to grumble, but Ezgi quickly cut me off.

"You don't have to come, Asli. One of us has to stay here, you know."

"Okay, but I want to come, Ezgi."
