Woken from the nightmare

Chapter 2.

In the emperor's office is assistant was calling him asking him if he was listening to him because it seems like he fell asleep, the emperor opened his eyes and that was when his assistant asked him if he will be letting the empress know about the announcement for saint being his concort.

The emperor looked around a felt like he lived the day already he asked his assistant if he hadntslready told the empress but the assistant told him that he was planning on heading to the empress palace in the evening to let her know and the emperor jumped up and was getting ready to run to the empress palace when the he notice the sky getting dark and lightning running through the sky and he heard a loud noise and a great hit to the palace shaking it and then screams coming from different areas outside his door.

Some guards ran into the emperor's office to inform the emperor that lightning has hit the palace and cause a fire and the emperor asked where and they said at the saint end of the palace. The emperor ran over to that area to see the guards working on outing the fire and when they did and entered the room the saint was on the ground on fire and they put the fire out thinking that because the saint has divine power she would be able to heal herself but they notice that she wasn't so they brought her out the room and placed her inin to another room and the emperor called for a healer however even though they were using their divine power the saint was not getting healed.

The saint laid there in pain and only could make noises and falling in and out of consciousness this went on for hours and while the emperor was with her his assistant walked into the room to let the emperor know that the lightning also hit the temple and 9 of the priests were killed and on the saint's plaque the words sinner and adulterer was burned into it.

After the emperor heard that he sat there shocked and couldn't believe that all what happened really happened. He asked the assistant to repeat himself but the assistant told him that the citizens all are gossiping saying that the saint was being punished for having a relationship with a married man instead of healing the sick and helping the poor.

After a few days of the darkness and the saint being in so much pain the emperor's mother wanted her and the empress to go to the temple to pray for the the saint and the kingdom, however the empress told her mother in law that it was the will of the Gods and there is no reason for us to go to the temple because even 9 priests got punished as well.

The emperor's mother was not happy with the empress answer and told her not to be bitter and to raise above the emperor's affairs because all men have mistresses. The empress looked at her mother in law and told her

{Empress} Yes you are right and it is profectly normal for us all to have a lover and this is why I too will get a lover to share my bed with while that holy saint have sex with my husband.

{Mother in law} are you crazy don't you know who you talking too don't let this matter drive you crazy.

{empress} crazy! You forget how crazy you were when your husband brought in his mistresses how many of them you got killed please I am not you and I have been doing my best so please go if you want but I will never go to the temple to pay for that whore!

All the maids that were there would not believe that the empress was talking like that because the empress she always easy going and well respectful to everyone so to hear her speak like that to the emperor mother was unbelievable. It even shocked her mother in law.

The empress walked off while the emperor's mother just sitting there in disbelieve and after awhile the emperor mother got up and told one of the maid that were with her that she will be heading to her son and letting him know what the empress said so that he can punish the empress.

The emperor called the empress to his office and when the empress was walking in the emperor started yelling at her and saying.

{emperor} how dear you talk to my mother like that, have you last your mind. Due to you jealousy of the saint you decided to speak so disrespectful to my mother not only will you go to the temple to pray for the kingdom but you will also let everybody know that you will remain on your knees there until the saint recovers.

{empress} now look who has gone crazy I will never do that you and your mother can go pray for your whore!

After the empress said that the emperor rush over to her and slapped her so hard she fell to the ground shocking his mother and the empress however the empress got up and calmly told her husband that he finally turned into his father who the emperor back up and held his head down and softly said that he never meant to hit her he is under a lot of stress.

His mother stepped up and tried to walk over to the empress letting her know that she should forgive the emperor for what he just did and she and her can go to the temple and pray. The empress with tears running down her cheeks and backing up to the door while looking at the emperor she said.

{empress} I promised you that I will be a good wife, mother and empress but the second you lay a hand on me or humiliate me in anyway I will leave you and today I'm done!

{Emperor mother} what do you mean by that.

{Empress} it isn't safe for us to go to the temple right now the citizens in the kingdom are upset right now so like how the days are looking like nights it would be best to say her and pray which I have been doing but I will not leave the palace at time.

The emperor did not say anything because he was still in disbelief that he raise his hand to the empress, he felt so disgusted in himself and didn't know why he would do that to her and no matter how upset he was he shouldn't have done that and he was so ashamed in himself.

The emperor mother wanted to say something to the empress but the empress just turned and walked out so the emperor mother looked at her son knowing that he knew he went overboard and she tried to let him know that it's ok it is just that he he is tired and stressed out.

{emperor mother} I know that you never meant to hit the empress and she will get over it soon it's just that she is now blinded by her jealousy of saint Amy and feels that she lost your love because of your deep feeling for saint Amy. She is being extremely unreasonable because she didn't even show any concerns for you feelings know that you and saint Amy lost your baby. You know that I love the empress but she has gone cold hearted the baby is innocent and the love that you and the saint have is pure and given by the heaven.

{Emperor} I know you are right mother but I shouldn't have hit her and before we got together I promise her that I would never be like my father and be a womanizer and that she would be my ownly wife but not only did I break my promise I have humiliated her and now raised my hand to her.

{emperor mother} don't blame yourself she has her part she played in this as well, you are a good husband to her and you were faithful to her for so many years so for you to find love again with another woman who is more than just a noble woman but a saint this is of god and don't blame yourself for anything! You are a good emperor and a good father and I am proud of you. You can never be your father you are a better man and the empress is just giving into her jealousy and wants to pick a fight. I will go talk to her now.

{emperor} no don't instead go to the temple and pray for saint Amy and just leave the empress to herself she will get over it in time she always do.

{emperor mother} are you sure because I believe in what the empress said about it not being safe to leave the palace even though it is day time it is dark as night out.

{emperor} don't listen to her go to the temple and pray for saint Amy because it will show the people that you support your future daughter in law and all these crazy gossip will die down.

{emperor mother} I think I should stay and pray here the empress might be jealous of you and the saint but she also make sense with it not being safe right now to go out.

{emperor} mother listen to me this is your kingdom and you were the empress of this kingdom for many years it is safe because you are loved and everybody loves the saint as well it might be unsafe for the empress because she is known to be jesalous of the saint but no for you so go and pray for the saint so all can hear and know that the royal family stands with the saint.
