Ch 30 THE DUO IN ACTION

Night was beautiful and sleepy .

But not for , Lia and Arran .

"Lia !!! Remove your feet from my face " Arran whispered-yelled .

"I am .....just wait for a second !!!! " Lia looked down .

Currently Lia and Arran were on a very important Mission .

Breaking into Professor Green's Office .

"Damn it !! Why isn't this opening !!" Lia tried to open the window .

"Listen , Maybe I am strong .....but I can't handle your weight !! just break those stupid windows !!" Arran yelled again .

Night was still young and dark .

3Am was famously known as the devil's hour.

Maybe they were Right.

Lia was standing on Arran's shoulder and was trying to reach Ms Green's office .

Reason?

To steal tomorrow's Calculus exam paper.

Lia tried to fumble with the lock and somehow managed to open them .

"Done !" Lia shrieked and opened the window and climbed inside the room .

She then helped Arran and few minutes later they both were happily standing inside the room.

"Did you bring the torch?" Lia asked

"Yes"

"Laser detector?"

"Yes"

"Lock Picker ?"

"Yes!"

"Then why are we waiting for ?Let's go!!" Lia walked towards the Locker.

But suddenly Arran held her back .

"Wait ... Check the laser first " With this she blew a powder ...But the ground was clear .

"I knew it!! Why will a professor keep her papers safe with laser protection?" Lia asked.

"If she was a regular teacher I would have taken chances ...but she is Ms Green .....who was also a student here, years ago ." Arran said .

The quietly made their way towards the locker and Arran sat and picked the lock .

After few painfully slow minutes , The locker opened .

Sitting there was their beautiful calculus paper .

Arran and lia shrieked and hugged each other .

Lia again blew powder inside the locker .

Nothing happened .

Lia quietly took the papers and signaled Arran to shut the locker door .

They both tiptoed towards the window and quietly climbed down.

Nothing wrong happened.

Lia pounced on Arran and started laughing "Yes!!!!"

Arran was also happy and picked lia up and gave her a 360° rotation.

They ran back to Arran's room and took out all the books and copies and all the stationary stuff .

.

They meant business.

.

Arran went to drink water .Meanwhile Lia picked up the papers . And read them .

All colors drained from her face .

"Arr-ran...Can you come here for a bit ?" Lia stammered.

Arran happily skipped back to room,"What ?"She flashed a thousands watt smile.

Lia had fear in her eyes "Ca-Ca-Can you read this this ?" She passed the papers towards Arran .

Arran took the papers and suddenly they dropped from her hands .

The paper was cryptic.

There were series of numbers and signs .

.

There was a line written in Latin at the bottom of the page .

Lia took the papers and read the line

"Congratulations on gaining your calculus papers .Wishing you luck on breaking my cryptic paper!"

Arran flared "You wasted a lot of my time because of you I will fail tomorrow's paper!!" She pointed at lia .

Lia was feeling angry too"Oh really!! who was the one who suggested this plan??"

Arran "Then why you accompanied me??"

lia "Either way YOU would have wasted YOUR time!!" Lia stressed .

Arran plopped down on the bed and buried her face on the bed "I am dead ..."

Lia looked towards her big calculus book .

"Maybe not...hey we still have few hours left ! if we stay on caffeine and study all remaining night ...we can ace this test !!!" Lia sat and picked her book and buried herself in doing the sums.

Arran also took her lead and. began studying.

Night was studious for few kids.

Ch is short because next ch is big like 1600-2000 words kinda big!!
